Abstract:How to develop a new statistical process control (SPC) system in complicated modern manufacturing environment utilizing abundant information resources was discussed. To embed separate units in a sophisticated system, this paper proposed the principle, topology and overall solution of SPC system of hierarchy field bus-based quality control network at the level of plant and enterprise. The embedded SPC separate units were comprised of special modules designed for different simple functions. The structure of the field bus-based network, the interface of embedded industrial ethernet network, and the implementation of the control strategy of embedded SPC units were discussed, along with the principle of reliability and security. This system had characteristics of better environment flexibility, safety and credibility in practice, provides a basic plat roof for total quality control in manufacturing.

Abstract:To solve the problems that companies usually face when using statistical process control (SPC) in the quality control. The main framework of high-precision displacement measuring system is proposed. The methods of system design and optimization based on LVDT sensor are given. The technologies of network and data stream protocol of system are also discussed. The performance of the measuring system is evaluated with measurement system analysis (MSA). The result shows that this measuring system has features of stability, high precision, low cost, large volume of data storage and network function, and so on, the system is worth popularizing for application.

Abstract:The Ethernet is more and more used in the industrial environments. Because of the non-deterministic protocol of CSMA/CD, Ethernet is thought not to be suitable for the control of real time applications. With the worldwide application and development of Ethernet, its transmission rate is considered sufficiently high enough to estimate that all messages can be received inside a predefined temporal window. Especially, using Ethernet in industrial network will brings a lot of advantages: (1) consistency with the other communication systems installed in the enterprise; (2) employment of the same hardware all over the factory; (3) short cycle-times due to the high transmission speed; (4) large availability of chips implementing the MAC protocol, etc. In this paper, we first analyze the real-time capability of Ethernet and features of traffic for industrial network. Then, we propose some technologies for the design of an Ethernet-based real-time application. Finally, we present an EPA (Ethernet for Plant Automation)-based open network control system.

Abstract:For the polymer production industries,the competitive edge will come from the technology that excels in controlling the polymer quality in a consistent way over the entire plant.The state of the art quality control systems of polymer production plant is reviewed,with the main focus on on–line soft–sensing and optimal grade transition control problems.It is proposed that the most important factor in developing an intelligent quality control system is quality modeling and implementing plant–wide quality estimation and control is beneficial.Finally,some open problems and potential development trends of the field are pointed out.

Abstract:In the manufacturing process of modern corporations, great importance is attached to the application of on line monitoring technique, which is regarded as a significant way to improve the company market competition. In this paper, an automated online quality monitoring system using the SPC technique in the network environment is presented. The system's composition is mainly described. Its frame and software model is researched and designed with the C++ network programming technique to specifically make up of this set of quality monitoring distributed network system, which takes the remote quality monitoring centre as its sever and the field data acquisition as its client. It has the advantage of unifying the services of remote monitoring and quality analysis through network environment, and of high flexibility due to the application of the object-oriented technique and the module designing method.

This paper designs and implements a network-based process control system, which possesses functions such as remote control, clock synchronization, and a friendly man-machine interface. Abstract:With respect to the working mechanism of networked control systems with time division scheduling based on clock synchronization,the causes for data packet dropouts in ethernet for plant automation(EPA) based networked control systems are analyzed.A model of EPA systems with data packet dropouts according to different requirements of real time performance is established.The influences that the communication cycle,the length of time slot and the precision of clock synchronization exert on the stability of systems are given while the distribution of clock deviation jitter is a Markov chain.Methods to improve the real time performance of EPA systems are proposed.Finally,the stability of the EPA system is analyzed.

Abstract:Aimed at the shortages of MES that couldn't realize dynamic quality control well, a framework of MES oriented to dynamic quality control was proposed after dynamic quality control and ERP/MESIPCS three-tier enterprise integration infrastructure were studied, and the quality function models of MES were analyzed. According to the framework and the key technologies of MES, the dynamic quality control model was provided and the data acquisition and system integration models were established. The development of MES oriented to dynamic quality control for a PCB enterprise was given. Through data acquisition, quality analysis and quality control model, this system realizes dynamic on-line control of PCB products.

Abstract:In modern industrial cyber-physical systems, a mass of process variables has been obtained by the highsampling online sensors. Meanwhile, the key quality indexes are usually obtained infrequently from the laboratory. Hence, these quality variables are with low sampling rate. To avail of the complete process and quality variables with various sampling rates in the dynamic processes, a set of semi-supervised dynamic latent variable models are proposed for dynamic modeling and quality-relevant monitoring. The proposed models have built a unified structure to consider both the auto-correlations and cross-correlations between the process and quality variables with unbalanced sampling sizes. Hence, the feature extraction of the time series data is dynamically adjusted under the guidance of the quality variables. Then, the quality-relevant monitoring schemes are proposed, which is validated by a numerical case and an actual wastewater treatment process

Abstract:As the business volume is getting bigger, more and more problems are exposed to product quality testing. For example, the application of the traditional statistical process control (SPC) is not flexible on different occasions due to the fixed testing rules and the manual data collection. These problems lead to large deviation and low efficiency. In order to fasten the testing process and optimize the results of testing, we design an online system that integrates the Drools rule engine and automatic collection mechanism based on some common communication protocols and devices into SPC to replace traditional manual quality testing. In this paper, we introduce the principle of the system design in detail. The experimental results show that we can utilize SPC in a more convenient and efficient way.

Abstract:Proved by engineering practice,invalidation of process can not be forecasted by engineering process control,and optimal manufacturing quality in the process can not be guaranteed.The features of STA,SPC and EPC were outlined during the manufacturing quality control,a process control system which integrated STA,EPC and SPC was put forward.The informational system interface technique,the intelligent integration technique and the harmonious control technique were studied.The integrated technique and the quality guaranteed technique were analyzed through a specific manufacturing process example.The results show that the application of this technique guarantees not only the need of individual parameter,but also the distribution regulation of the group of a same parameter.The quality of manufacturing process can be markedly improved.

Abstract:This paper introduces an Ethernet-based online monitoring system and its application to rolling bearings of the nine fan sets. The design of the system is based on embeded system and field bus. The system has many advantages used in industry such as multi\|channel, network, practicability and high capability to cost ratio. With the operation of the system in practice for three years, the results show that the design of the system is successful and the system can be widely used for monitoring the condition of rotating machinery.

The paper mainly include the structure and know-how of the expert system, the knowledge of the net manufacturing environment based on expert system for intelligent Collaborative quality control of the manufacturing controlling, the introduction of the information exchanging technology based on the expert system for intelligent Collaborative quality control of the manufacturing controlling and the specific method of intelligent Collaborative quality control. The effective Collaborative quality control method and the data model guarantees the quality of the products manufactured in the center plants and the other plants concerned, as well as the final quality of the product. Abstract:Today's embedded systems representatively feature computing resource constraints as well as workload uncertainty. This gives rise to the increasing demand of integrating control and scheduling in control applications that are built upon embedded systems. To address the impact of uncertain computing resource availability on quality of control (QoC), an intelligent control theoretic approach to feedback scheduling is proposed based on fuzzy logic control technology. The case with one single control task that competes for CPU resources with other non-control tasks is considered. The sampling period of the control task is dynamically adjusted. The goal is to provide runtime adaptation and flexible QoC management in the presence of CPU resource constraint and workload uncertainty. Preliminary simulation results argue that the fuzzy feedback scheduler is effective in managing QoC in real-time embedded control applications.

Abstract:Although the EPC method can properly control single parameter's changes during the manufacturing process to meet quality requirements, however, in project practice, it has been proved that a single control parameter can not guarantee the best manufacturing quality. The manufacturing quality is also closely related with the distribution of the values of parameters. Therefore, using the SPC and EPC integrated control technology can better ensure the quality of the products. This paper outlines the features of the SPC and EPC method during the manufacturing quality control, putting forward a process control system which integrates the EPC and SPC method and studies the informational interface technique, the intelligent integration technique and the harmonious control technique for the two method, and then analyzes the integrated technique and the quality guaranteed technique for the two method through a specific manufacturing process example. The application of this technique not only guarantees the needs of the individual parameter, but also the distribution regulation of the group of a same parameter, so it may markedly improve the quality of the manufacturing process. Therefore, overall product quality is improved.
