Abstract:Correct time and frequency synchronization is important for the performance of Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting (DTTB) systems. This paper proposes a scheme based on repeated short pseudo noise sequences (PN-sequence) in the context of the Digital Multimedia Terrestrial Broadcasting (DMB-T). Theoretical analysis and computer simulation results show the proposed technique significantly improves carrier frequency offset estimation and timing detection performance.
