Abstract:In this paper, we consider a family of second-order elliptic systems subject to a periodically oscillating Robin boundary condition. We establish the qualitative homogenization theorem on any Lipschitz domains satisfying a non-resonance condition. We also use the quantitative estimates of oscillatory integrals to obtain the dimension-dependent convergence rates in $L^2$, assuming that the domain is smooth and strictly convex.

Abstract:<p>Following the previous work (Sui and Yu, 0000), we investigate the impact of damping on the oscillation of smooth solutions to some kind of quasilinear wave equations with Robin and Dirichlet boundary conditions. By using generalized Riccati transformation and technical inequality method, we give some sufficient conditions to guarantee the oscillation of all smooth solutions. From the results, we conclude that positive damping can "hold back" oscillation. At last, some examples are presented to confirm our main results.</p>

Abstract:Abstract We discuss Neumann and Robin problems driven by the -Laplacian with jumping nonlinearities. Using sub-sup solution method, Fucík spectrum, mountain pass theorem, degree theorem together with suitable truncation techniques, we show that the Neumann problem has infinitely many nonconstant solutions and the Robin problem has at least four nontrivial solutions. Furthermore, we study oscillating equations with Robin boundary and obtain infinitely many nontrivial solutions.

Abstract:In the sense of an arbitrary time scale, some new sufficient conditions on oscillation are presented in this paper for a class of nonlinear third-order delay dynamic equations involving a local fractional derivative with a super-linear neutral term. The established oscillation results include known Kamenev and Philos-type oscillation criteria and are new oscillation results so far in the literature. Some inequalities, the Riccati transformation, the integral technique, and the theory of time scale are used in the establishment of these oscillation criteria. The proposed results unify continuous and discrete analysis, and the process of deduction is further extended to another class of nonlinear third-order delay dynamic equations involving a local fractional derivative with a super-linear neutral term and a damping term. As applications for the established oscillation criteria, some examples are given.

Abstract:In this paper, we study fractional -Laplacian Schrödinger-type equations for Robin boundary conditions. Under some suitable assumptions, we show that two solutions exist using the mountain pass lemma and Ekeland's variational principle. Then, the existence of infinitely many solutions is derived by applying the fountain theorem and the Krasnoselskii genus theory, respectively. Different from previous results, the topic of this paper is the Robin boundary conditions in for fractional order -Laplacian Schrödinger-type equations, including concave-convex nonlinearities, which has not been studied before. In addition, two examples are given to illustrate our results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of third-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations. First, we establish a Kiguradze-type lemma and some useful estimates. Second, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of eventually positive solutions having upper bounds and tending to zero. Third, we obtain new oscillation criteria by employing the Pötzsche chain rule. Then, using the generalized Riccati transformation technique and averaging method, we establish the Philos-type oscillation criteria. Surprisingly, the integral value of the Philos-type oscillation criteria, which guarantees that all unbounded solutions oscillate, is greater than θ4(t1, T). The results of Theorem 3.5 and Remark 3.6 are novel. Finally, we offer four examples to illustrate our results.

Abstract:Existence and global regularity results for boundary-value problems of Robin type for harmonic and polyharmonic functions in $n$-dimensional half-spaces are offered. The Robin condition on the normal derivative on the boundary of the half-space is prescribed by a nonlinear function $\mathcal N$ of the relevant harmonic or polyharmonic functions. General Orlicz type growths for the function $\mathcal N$ are considered. For instance, functions $\mathcal N$ of classical power type, their perturbations by logarithmic factors, and exponential functions are allowed. New sharp boundedness properties in Orlicz spaces of some classical operators from harmonic analysis, of independent interest, are critical for our approach.

The main results of this article are derived using the Nehari manifold method under some appropriate assumptions on functions b , F , G and H .

Abstract:This article investigates the local well-posedness of Turing-type reaction–diffusion equations with Robin boundary conditions in the Sobolev space. Utilizing the Hadamard norm, we derive estimates for Fokas unified transform solutions for linear initial-boundary value problems subject to external forces. Subsequently, we demonstrate that the iteration map, defined by the unified transform solutions and incorporating nonlinearity instead of external forces, acts as a contraction map within an appropriate solution space. Our conclusive result is established through the application of the contraction mapping theorem.

Abstract:This paper studies the existence and uniqueness of a classical solution to a type of Robin boundary problems on the nonnegative orthant. We propose a new decomposition-homogenization method for the Robin boundary problem based on probabilistic representations, which leads to two auxiliary Robin boundary problems admitting some simplified probabilistic representations. The auxiliary probabilistic representations allow us to establish the existence of a unique classical solution to the original Robin boundary problem using some stochastic flow analysis.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to investigate Green's function for parabolic and elliptic systems satisfying a possibly nonlocal Robin-type boundary condition. We construct Green's function for parabolic systems with time-dependent coefficients satisfying a possibly nonlocal Robin-type boundary condition assuming that weak solutions of the system are locally Hölder continuous in the interior of the domain, and as a corollary we construct Green's function for elliptic system with a Robin-type condition. Also, we obtain Gaussian bound for Robin Green's function under an additional assumption that weak solutions of Robin problem are locally bounded up to the boundary. We provide some examples satisfying such a local boundedness property, and thus have Gaussian bounds for their Green's functions.
