Abstract:Zn Belavin model with open boundary condition is studied. The double-row transfer matrices of the model are diagonalized by algebraic Bethe ansatz method in terms of the intertwiner and the face–vertex correspondence relation. Abstract:We obtain four different diagonal reflecting matrices by solving the reflection equation of the Osp(2|2) model. At the same time, we solve the model with open boundary condition by using the algebraic Bethe ansatz. The procedure of constructing the multi-particle state and achieving the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix and corresponding Bethe equations is presented in detail.

Abstract:We present the procedure of exactly solving the Izergin–Korepin model with open boundary conditions by using the algebraic Bethe ansatz, which include constructing the multi-particle state and achieving the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix and corresponding Bethe equations. We give a proof about our conclusions on the multi-particle state based on an assumption. When the model is Uq(su(2)) quantum invariant, our results agree with that obtained by analytic Bethe ansatz method.

Abstract:The nested Bethe ansatz (BA) method is applied to find the eigenvalues and the eigenvectors of the transfer matrix for spin-ladder model with open boundary conditions. Based on the reflection equation, we find the general diagonal solution, which determines the general boundary interaction in the Hamiltonian. We introduce the spin-ladder model with open boundary conditions. By finding the solution K± of the reflection equation which determines the nontrivial boundary terms in the Hamiltonian, we diagonalize the transfer matrix of the spin-ladder model with open boundary conditions in the framework of nested BA.

Abstract:bstract The Izergin-Korepin model with general non-diagonal boundary terms, a typical integrable model beyond A-type and without U(1)-symmetry, is studied via the offdiagonal Bethe ansatz method. Based on some intrinsic properties of the R -matrix and the K -matrices, certain operator product identities of the transfer matrix are obtained at some special points of the spectral parameter. These identities and the asymptotic behaviors of the transfer matrix together allow us to construct the inhomogeneous T − Q relation and the associated Bethe ansatz equations. In the diagonal boundary limit, the reduced results coincide exactly with those obtained via other methods.

Abstract:We consider the L-state cyclic solid-on-solid lattice models under a class of open boundary conditions. The integrable boundary face weights are obtained by solving the reflection equations. Functional relations for the fused transfer matrices are presented for both periodic and open boundary conditions. The eigenspectra of the unfused transfer matrix is obtained from the functional relations using the analytic Bethe ansatz. For a special case of crossing parameter lambda = pi/L, the finite-size corrections to the eigenspectra of the critical models are obtained, from which the corresponding conformal dimensions follow. The calculation of the surface free energy away from criticality yields two surface specific heat exponents, alpha(s) = 2 - L/2l and alpha(l) = 1 - L/l, where l = 1,2,..., L - l coprime to L. These results are in agreement with the scaling relations alpha(s), = alpha(b) + nu and alpha(l) = alpha(b) - l.

Abstract:The Izergin-Korepin model is an integrable model with the simplest twisted quantum affine algebra $U_q(A_2^{(2)})$ symmetry. Applying the $t-W$ method, we derive the homogeneous zero roots Bethe ansatz equations and the corresponding zero root patterns of the Izergin-Korepin model with generic integrable boundaries. Based on these results, we analytically compute the surface energies and boundary excitations in different regimes of boundary parameters of the model. It is shown that in some regimes, correlation effect appears between two boundary fields.

Abstract:When the rotatory inertia is taken into account, vibrations of a linear plate can be described by the Kirchhoff plate equation. Consider this equation with locally distributed control forces and some boundary condition which is the simply supported boundary condition for a rectangular plate. In this paper, the authors establish exact controllability of the system in terms of the equivalence to exact internal controllability of the wave equation, by means of a frequency domain characterization of exact controllability introduced recently in [11].

Abstract:By using the algebraic Bethe ansatz, we find the exact solution of Perk–Schultz model with general open boundary conditions. The Bethe ansatz equation and the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix are obtained, which depends on two free parameters dominating the different grade boundary. Under the special condition m=1 , the results in present paper give the solution of multichannel t-J model with general boundary condition. Our results also recover those obtained by A. Gonzalez-Ruiz, Nucl. Phys. B 424 [FS] (1994) 468.

Abstract:The exact solution of the A2(2) model (or the Izergin–Korepin model) with non-diagonal boundary reflections of the type I is studied by using the off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method. The complete operator product identities of the transfer matrices are obtained with the help of fusion. Based on them and the asymptotic behaviors as well as the values at special points, the inhomogeneous T−Q relations of the system are constructed. The method and the results in this paper can be generalized to the high rank An(2) case directly.

Abstract:The Bose–Hubbard model is a paradigm for the study of strongly correlated bosonic systems. We study the two-site Bose–Hubbard model with generic integrable open boundaries specified by the most general non-diagonal reflecting matrices. Besides the inhomogeneous parameters,the model itself has three free boundary parameters,which break the U（1）-symmetry,in other words,break the particle number conservation. The Hamiltonian H under these circumstances is constructed. With the help of the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz method,we successfully obtain the corresponding Bethe Ansatz equations as well as the eigenvalues.

Abstract:An exactly solvable strongly correlated electron model with two independent parameters is constructed in the frame of the quantum inverse scattering method, which can be seen as a generalization of the Bariev model. Through the Bethe ansatz method, a set of Bethe ansatz equations is derived. In the thermodynamic limit, to study the ground state of the model, we obtain the integral equations for the density of Bethe roots. Numerical validation are done to confirm the accuracy of our analytic results.

Abstract:We obtain the general solutions to the reflection equation of the Izergin-Korepin model. The general solutions have two free parameters and will reduce to the non-trivial diagonal solutions when both free parameters vanish. It will also reduce to the solutions with upper-lower triangular structures when one of the parameters vanishes. Moreover, the Hamiltonian with boundary terms for the system is obtained.

Abstract:A perturbation method is developed for linear, self-adjoint eigenvalue problems with perturbation operators confined to the boundary conditions. Results are derived through third order perturbation for distinct eigensolutions of the unperturbed problem and through second order perturbation for degenerate eigensolutions, where splitting of the degenerate eigensolutions from asymmetry is identified. A key feature, demonstrated for the plate vibration and Helmholtz equation problems on annular domains, is that the solutions of the perturbation problems are determined exactly in closed-form expressions. The approximation in the eigensolutions of the original problem results only from truncation of the asymptotic perturbation series; no approximation is made in the calculation of the eigensolution perturbations. Confinement of the perturbation terms to the boundary conditions ensures that the exact solutions can be calculated for any combination of unperturbed and perturbed boundary conditions that render the problem self-adjoint. The exact solution avoids the common expansion of the solution to the perturbation problems in infinite series of the unperturbed eigenfunctions. The compactness of solution in this formulation is convenient for modal analysis, system identification, design, and control applications. Examples of boundary asymmetries where the method applies include stiffness nonuniformities and geometric deviations from idealized boundary shapes such as annuli and rectangles.
