Computation Model in Manufacturing System Virtual Environment

Abstract:Manufacturing system virtual environment is very important in VM research, and modeling the virtual environment is a challenge task. By Analyzing manufacturing system virtual environment specialty and comparing modeling methods, this paper proposed multi-agent modeling method, which is useful to develop a virtual manufacturing environment. The virtual environment computation model is presented, the properties of agent are encapsulated in seven tuple structure, and each tuple is described in detail in agent data structure. Event-driven method is adopted in the system simulation, and message based communication mode is accepted among the agents. With emphasis on event switch control mechanism, an example of virtual manufacturing system is developed.
