Abstract:Aimed at the effect of variable coefficients and the constant coefficients to the system, a quarter-car two degree freedom suspension vibration model is described, with the aid of matlab alternating senior programmable language, the algorithm is gained through function file, the simulation model of the road noise and the suspension system is obtained. Moreover, The one order standard sensitivity function is adopted, the actual model of one quarter-car two degree freedom suspension system is designed, and the standard sensitivity response of vehicle body velocity, body displacement and the tire displacement is analyzed, the sensitive degree of the change of the structure dynamic characteristics variation is studied. The results indicate that the method can improve the design efficiency and reduce the cost of the design.

Abstract:A finite element model for a car is built.By using the modified feasible direction algorithm based on sensitivity analysis,an optimization on the thickness of body panels is conducted with an objective of minimizing the mass of body structure and a constraint of meeting the requirements of stiffness and modal performance.So the weight reduction of car body is realized with the total mass of the auto body reducing by 6.22% while the bending and torsion stiffness rising to different degrees and the change in modal frequency less than 1 Hz.

Abstract:The new idea of dynamic sensitivity analyzing the complex structure with FEM was introduced. Experimental modal analyzing and FEM calculating were combined to identify the joint equivalent dynamic parameters. The virtual part were used to couple the parts of complex structure. Then, the dynamic finite element analysis model of complex structure using virtual part was built, dynamic sensitivity analysis and optimization design could go on. The dynamic sensitivity analysis of a block-cylinder head complex structure and a large scale frame were carried out with I-DEAS. It proved that the method is effective and practical in deal with dynamic optimization design of general complex structure.

Abstract:Abstract The first-order vertical bending frequency is an important parameter to evaluate the vibration performance of car body in the preparation conditions. Increasing its frequency value can avoid the resonance between the car body and the bogie frame, reduce the vibration, and improve the running stability and riding comfort. Due to the low first-order vertical bending frequency, combined with layout optimization of equipment under vehicle and structure optimization, the optimal equipment layout scheme and the thickness of the key parts were obtained based on the refined modeling. The first-order vertical bending frequency of car body was increased from 7.63Hz to 8.35Hz, which was increased by 9.4%.

Abstract:Through analyzing the problem of front sub-frame arising from the modal performance analysis, the paper studied the modal performance of front sub-frame under free condition, stiffening constraint condition as well as installation condition. It is inferred that the main reason of this problem lies in lack of body stiffness. And then, four optimization solutions were proposed to modify the structure design. Combined with the results of CAE modal analysis, it is concluded that the modal performance of front sub- frame will be significantly improved by adjusting the structure of radiator joined frame.

Abstract:A sensitivity analysis is performed based on classical modal method,and a set of explicit formulae are derived to reflect the influence of mass,moments of inertia and products of inertia of the powertrain on its dynamic characteristics with a practical calculation example given.The error tolerances for inertial parameters measured or calculated in powertrain mount design are also discussed.

Abstract:The torsional rigidity of sedan white body to be regarded as the important mechanics property of sedan body has direct influence on the performance of the whole vehicle in various respects.Take certain typed three compartment sedan as an example,on the basis of simulation calculation of torsional rigidity and by applying the finite element theory and through sensitivity analysis of torsional rigidity via board thickness of part this paper gained the key frame structure that affects the torsional rigidity of white body and under the guidance of this frame structure the measures of further enhancing its torsional rigidity was laid down for the being studied sedan pattern.Among them 4 important body parts were emphatically studied on the influence that acted on white body torsional rigidity,and finally reached the goal of enhancing distinctively its torsional rigidity as a whole under the premise of increasing as less mass as possible of the white body.A method that could be used for reference was provided for controlling nicely the torsional rigidity of white body in the designing phase of new sedan pattern,and could also provide reasonable suggestions for the improvements on torsional rigidity of the already existed sedan patterns.

Abstract:Based on the finite element model of straddle monorail vehicle, a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model considering vehicle body's flexibility is established. The influence of vertical stiffness and vertical damping of the running wheel on the modal parameters of the car body is analyzed. The effect of flexible car body on modal parameters and vehicle ride quality is also studied. The results show that when the vertical stiffness of running wheel is less than 1 MN / m, the car body bounce and pitch frequency increase with the increasing of the vertical stiffness of the running wheel, when the running wheel vertical stiffness is 1MN / m or more, car body bounce and pitch frequency remained unchanged; When the vertical stiffness of the running wheel is below 1.8 MN / m, the vehicle body bounce and pitch damping ratio increase with the increasing of the vertical stiffness of the running wheel; When the running wheel vertical stiffness is 1.8MN / m or more, the car body bounce and pitch damping ratio remained unchanged; The running wheel vertical damping on the car body bounce and pitch frequency has no effect; Car body bounce and pitch damping ratio increase with the increasing of the vertical damping of the running wheel. The flexibility of the car body has no effect on the modal parameters of the car, which will improve the vehicle ride quality index.

Abstract:This paper performs an assessment of the sensitivity of the average strain-average stress curves on the ultimate hull bending moment and the moment-curvature relationship. This assessment concerns the ultimate bending moments obtained through standard progressive collapse analysis (Smith Algorithm.) Such progressive approach requires for each stiffened panel a curve. The objective is to quantify the variation of the ultimate bending moment (MU) induced by the uncertainties associated with the curve. The paper presents the updated results.

Abstract:This paper presents a substructure method of static sensitivityanalysis of light car white body to simulate the dynamic sensitivity analysis of bus. Through substructure analysis method by dynamic analysis software ANSYS, the parts which have higher sensitivity under the torque mode of bus are found, and the theoretical basis for modifying structure design and improving resist-torque reference of whole car is provided. This method can improve the computation efficiency and save computer resource.

Abstract:With finite element analyses on a new model of homemade car,the techniques of complete vehicle modeling,moving deformable barrier modeling,numerical simulation and structural crashworthiness analysis for side impact are studied systematically.Test results verify the validity of complete vehicle model.Side crashworthiness analysis is based on structural deformation response,including deformation,deformation energy,and deformation velocity,etc.A comprehensive analysis on the relationships among impact force,dummy injury,structural deformation,and other responses is performed by utilizing time sequence diagram of crash response.And a set of CAE analysis process is summarized for car lateral crashworthiness analysis and its validation.

Abstract:A SUV auto-body noise,vibration,and harshness(NVH) structure sensitivity was analysed,considering the structure-acoustic coupling based on the modal analysis method.The structure and acoustic vibration mode were gained from coupling analysis while inner noise level from frequency analysis.The given methods reduce noise by identifying the main source to the noise through structure sensitivity analysis.

Abstract:The simulation model of complete vehicle performance for a new car was established by using multi-body system dynamics software ADAMS/CAR,then this model was divided into several subsystems,and the models for subsystems were established and validated respectively.The inertia and rubber parts mechanics characteristic parameters of car suspension,powertrain and tire etc were determined based on measurement and finite element method;the flexible body dynamic model of twist beam type rear suspension of the car was built by using modal synthesis method;the kinematics and dynamics pre-analysis of the important subsystems and complete vehicle model validated the complete vehicle dynamics model.

Abstract:Car's torsion stiffness coefficient of body-in-white needs to be tested in development period,which has a direct bearing on car's safety and comfort.When testing torsion stiffness coefficient,car's body structure is constrained and external force is loaded on it in order to simulate the real driving environment.The constraint model could not effect body structure's deformation when external force is loaded.An optimal constraint model is designed by analyzing the ideal model,which can be verified thought FEM.

Abstract:Based on EN 12663‐1:2010 Railw ay applications— Structural requirements o f railway vehicle bodies ,the stress analysis was conducted for the carbody structure of overhead contact system maintenance vehicle .The finite element model of carbody was set up ,and the static strength and modes were analyzed by general finite element software of ANSYS .The calculation results show that the carbody’s strength and stiffness can satisfy the relative design requirements .

Abstract:Inner force characteristics are important for car body crashworthiness analysis.Using a new numerical algorithm for thin-walled beam inner forces based on shell element model,a method for analysis of structural inner force response characteristics under lateral impact was presented and numerically demonstrated with some cylinder impact cases.Variation and transfer of thin-walled beam inner forces,moments,power and energy were analyzed in details.Two elementary crash types,cylinder impact to structure and structure impact to cylinder,belong to diffusion and convergence energy transferring modes respectively.Main supported load and major energy path during impact were determined by structure type and load case.The impact response characteristics of thin-walled beam were revealed,which provides some important information and method for structural evaluation and design.

Abstract:The optimal layout of damping materials plays an important role in vibration and noise control of vehicle inside. The body in white( BIW) of a certain car was studied here. Based on the finite element method and boundary element method,the acoustic field inside the car and the panel contribution to the vehicle were analyzed. Then,the peak frequencies in the sound pressure spectrum at the field points and their corresponding panels with larger contributions to the car were found. Based on the modal analysis of the BIW,the layout of the constrained damping materials was optimized. The noise responses inside the car to the excitations at the engine mount,front suspension and rear suspension were analyzed before and after the damping optimization,and then the validity of this technique was verified. The results of the actural car tests showed that after adding the optimized damping material layout on the vehicle body,the interior noise of the vehicle reduces 2d B( A).

Abstract:The bodywork structure sensitivities can provide modification direction information in structure design and optimization. This research focuses on the CRH3 bodywork, in which the finite element model is established by implementation of Hypermesh software, meanwhile the modals are performed by use of finite element method. The chassis, side wall, top plate, end wall and other part thicknesses are used as the design variables, and consequently the sensitivities of the CRH3 bodywork modal frequencies to the design variables are achieved by use of numerical differential method. Results show that the sensitivities of the modal frequencies to the chassis and the side wall are maximum and to the top plates are lesser. For the end wall and the chassis front end, the sensitivities are negative.

Abstract:In the paper, the mechanism and key influencing factors of compound vibration are analyzed by establishing the dynamic mathematical model with 11 degrees of freedom, and the experiment method for identifying compound vibration is put forward. The sensitivity of influencing factors of compound vibration of the body is analyzed by establishing a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic simulation model. The results show that vertical vibration, roll vibration and pitch vibration are the main forms of the vehicle body vibration, front suspension stiffness and rear suspension stiffness not only are the key influencing factors of Z-direction vibration, but also are the key influencing factors of pitch angle. The key influencing factors of roll angle are lower control arm length L D and rear suspension damping Cr. By optimizing and improving the damping of the rear shock absorber, the Z-vibration, roll vibration and pitch vibration of the body are obviously reduced. The research results provide a theoretical basis and reference for mastering the composition and formation mechanism of compound vibration of vehicle body.
