Abstract:The influence of calcium carbonate on the microstructure of bovine serum albumin (BSA) in aqueous solution was studied by ultraviolet spectrum and ultraviolet second order derivative spectrum and Fourier transform infrared spectrum. The results showed the changes of the microenvironment of the aromatic amino acid residues and secondary structure of BSA. It was the changes that provided a favorable condition for biomineral formation.
