Abstract:We study the value distributions of the random analytic functions on the unit disk of the form where and are independent and identically distributed random variables defined on a probability space . Some of the theorems complement the work in [6], which deals with random entire functions. We first define a family of random analytic functions in the above form, which includes Gaussian, Rademacher, and Steinhaus analytic functions. Then we prove the relationship between the integrated counting function and the norm of on the circle as is close to . As a by-product, we obtain Nevanlinna's second main theorem on the unit disk. Finally, we show theorems on the maximum modulus of and on the unit disk.

Abstract:Let $F(\sigma)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{X_n}{n^\sigma}$ be a random Dirichlet series where $(X_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}}$ are independent standard Gaussian random variables. We compute in a quantitative form the expected number of zeros of $F(\sigma)$ in the interval $[T,\infty)$, say $\mathbb{E} N(T,\infty)$, as $T\to1/2^+$. We also estimate higher moments and with this we derive exponential tails for the probability that the number of zeros in the interval $[T,1]$, say $N(T,1)$, is large. We also consider almost sure lower and upper bounds for $N(T,\infty)$. And finally, we also prove results for another class of random Dirichlet series, e.g., when the summation is restricted to prime numbers.

Abstract:In this paper, we first study the strong Birkhoff Ergodic Theorem forsubharmonic functions with the Brjuno-Rüssmann shift on the Torus. Then, weapply it to prove the large deviation theorems for the finite scale Dirichletdeterminants of quasi-periodic analytic Jacobi operators with this frequency.It shows that the Brjuno-Rüssmann function, which reflects the irrationalityof the frequency, plays the key role in these theorems via the smallestdeviation. At last, as an application, we obtain a distribution of theeigenvalues of the Jacobi operators with Dirichlet boundary conditions, whichalso depends on the smallest deviation, essentially on the irrationality of thefrequency.

Abstract:In this paper, we completely give the solution of the problem of Littlewood-type randomization in the Hardy and Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series. The Littlewood-type theorem for Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series is very different from the corresponding version for Hardy spaces of Dirichlet series; but also exhibits various pathological phenomena compared with the setting of analytic Bergman spaces over the unit disk, due to the fact that Dirichlet series behave as power series of infinitely many variables. A description for the inclusion between some mixed norm spaces of Dirichlet series plays an essential role in our investigation. Finally, as another application of the inclusion, we completely characterize the superposition operators between Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series.

Abstract:Buraczewski et al (2023) proved a functional limit theorem (FLT) and a law of the iterated logarithm (LIL) for a random Dirichlet series $\sum_{k\geq 2}(\log k)^\alpha k^{-1/2-s}\eta_k$ as $s\to 0+$, where $\alpha>-1/2$ and $\eta_1$, $\eta_2,\ldots$ are independent identically distributed random variables with zero mean and finite variance. We prove a FLT and a LIL in a boundary case $\alpha=-1/2$. The boundary case is more demanding technically than the case $\alpha>-1/2$.

Abstract:Let $\eta_1$, $\eta_2,\ldots$ be independent copies of a random variable $\eta$ with zero mean and finite variance which is bounded from the right, that is, $\eta\leq b$ almost surely for some $b>0$. Abstract:In this paper, we give Dirichlet series with periodic coefficients that have Riemann's functional equation and real zeros of Dirichlet $L$-functions. The details are as follows. Let $L(s,\chi)$ be the Dirichlet $L$-function and $G(\chi)$ be the Gauss sum associate with a primitive Dirichlet character $\chi$ (${\rm{mod}} \,\, q$). Put $f (s,\chi) := q^s L(s,\chi) + i^{-\kappa (\chi)} G(\chi) L(s,\overline{\chi})$, where $\overline{\chi}$ is the complex conjugate of $\chi$ and $\kappa (\chi) :=(1-\chi (-1))/2$. Then we prove that $f (s,\chi)$ satisfies Riemann's functional equation appearing in Hamburger's theorem if $\chi$ is even. In addition, we show that $f (\sigma,\chi) \ne 0$ all $\sigma \ge 1$. Moreover, we prove that $f(\sigma,\chi) \ne 0$ for all $1/2 \le \sigma < 1$ if and only if $L(\sigma,\chi) \ne 0$ for all $1/2 \le \sigma < 1$. When $\chi$ is real, all zeros of $f(s,\chi)$ with $\Re (s) >0$ are on the line $\sigma =1/2$ if and only if GRH for $L(s,\chi)$ is true. However, $f (s,\chi)$ has infinitely many zeros off the critical line $\sigma =1/2$ if $\chi$ is non-real.

Abstract:We consider random Dirichlet series , with complex numbers, , increasing to , and otherwise arbitrary; and with a Rademacher sequence of random variables. We study their almost sure convergence on the critical line of convergence When (periodic case), a well-known sufficient condition on the coefficients a n ensuring almost sure uniform convergence on (equivalently uniform convergence on ) has been given by Salem and Zygmund, who made strong use of Bernstein's inequality. When is arbitrary (non-periodic case), one must distinguish between uniform convergence on compact subsets of (local convergence) and uniform convergence on . We extend Salem–Zygmund's theorem to general random Dirichlet series in this non-periodic case. Our main tools are a simple "local" Bernstein's inequality, and P. Lévy's symmetry principle.

Abstract:We investigate radial statistics of zeros of hyperbolic Gaussian Analytic Functions (GAF) of the form $\varphi (z) = \sum_{k\ge 0} c_k z^k$ given that $|\varphi (0)|^2=t$ and assuming coefficients $c_k$ to be independent standard complex normals. We obtain the full conditional distribution of $N_q$, the number of zeros of $\varphi (z)$ within a disk of radius $\sqrt{q}$ centred at the origin, and prove its asymptotic normality in the limit when $q\to 1^{-}$, the limit that captures the entire zero set of $\varphi (z)$. In the same limit we also develop precise estimates for conditional probabilities of moderate to large deviations from normality. Finally, we determine the asymptotic form of $P_k(t;q)=\mathrm{Prob} \{ N_q= k | |\varphi(0)|^2=t \}$ in the limit when $k$ is kept fixed whilst $q$ approaches 1. To leading order, the hole probability $P_0(t;q)$ does not depend on $t$ for $t>0$ but yet is different from that of $P_0(t=0;q)$ and coincides with the hole probability for unconditioned hyperbolic GAF of the form $\sum_{k\ge 0} \sqrt{k+1}\, c_k z^k$. We also find that asymptotically as $q \to 1^{-}$, $P_k(t;q)= e^t P_{k}(0;q)$ for every fixed $k \ge 1$ with $P_{k}(0;q)= \mathrm{Prob} \{ N_q =k-1 \}$.

Abstract:In this article some results on the value distribution theory of analytic functions defined in angles of , due mainly to B. Ja. Levin and A. Pfluger, will be extended to the more general situation where the functions are defined in angles of . More precisely, angles with vertex at the origin will be considered and where a singularity at zero is allowed. An special class of these functions are those of completely regular growth for which it is proved a basic result which yields an expression of the density of its zeros in terms of the indicator function.

Abstract:$L$ functions based on Dirichlet characters are natural generalizations of the Riemann $\zeta(s)$ function: they both have series representations and satisfy an Euler product representation, i.e. an infinite product taken over prime numbers. In this paper we address the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis relative to the non-trivial complex zeros of the Dirichlet $L$ functions by studying the possibility to enlarge the original domain of convergence of their Euler product. The feasibility of this analytic continuation is ruled by the asymptotic behavior in $N$ of the series $B_N = \sum_{n=1}^N \cos \bigl( t \log p_n - \arg \chi (p_n) \bigr)$ involving Dirichlet characters $\chi$ modulo $q$ on primes $p_n$. Although deterministic, these series have pronounced stochastic features which make them analogous to random time series. We show that the $B_N$'s satisfy various normal law probability distributions. The study of their large asymptotic behavior poses an interesting problem of statistical physics equivalent to the Single Brownian Trajectory Problem, here addressed by defining an appropriate ensemble $\mathcal{E}$ involving intervals of primes. For non-principal characters, we show that the series $B_N$ present a universal diffusive random walk behavior $B_N = O(\sqrt{N})$ in view of the Dirichlet theorem on the equidistribution of reduced residue classes modulo $q$ and the Lemke Oliver-Soundararajan conjecture on the distribution of pairs of residues on consecutive primes. This purely diffusive behavior of $B_N$ implies that the domain of convergence of the infinite product representation of the Dirichlet $L$-functions for non-principal characters can be extended from $\Re(s) > 1$ down to $\Re (s) = \frac{1}{2}$, without encountering any zeros before reaching this critical line.

Abstract:We investigate the distribution of values of cubic Dirichlet $L$-functions at $s=1$. Following ideas of Granville and Soundararajan for quadratic $L$-functions, we model the distribution of $L(1,\chi)$ by the distribution of random Euler products $L(1,\mathbb{X})$ for certain family of random variables $\mathbb{X}(p)$ attached to each prime. We obtain a description of the proportion of $|L(1,\chi)|$ that are larger or that are smaller than a given bound, and yield more light into the Littlewood bounds. Unlike the quadratic case, there is an asymmetry between lower and upper bounds for the cubic case, and small values are less probable than large values.

Abstract:The concept of physical twin observables (PTO) for bipartite quantum states,introduced and proved relevant for quantum information theory in recent work, is substantially simplified. The relation of observable and state is studied in detail from the point of view of coherence entropy. Properties of this quantity are further explored. It is shown that, besides for pure states, quantum discord (measure of entanglement) can be expressed through the coherence entropy of a PTO complete in relation to the state.

Abstract:In this paper we obtain a mean value theorem for a general Dirichlet series $f(s)= \sum_{j=1}^\infty a_j n_j^{-s}$ with positive coefficients for which the counting function $A(x) = \sum_{n_{j}\le x}a_{j}$ satisfies $A(x)=\rho x + O(x^\beta)$ for some $\rho>0$ and $\beta<1$. We prove that $\frac1T\int_0^T |f(\sigma+it)|^2\, dt \to \sum_{j=1}^\infty a_j^2n_j^{-2\sigma}$ for $\sigma>\frac{1+\beta}{2}$ and obtain an upper bound for this moment for $\beta<\sigma\le \frac{1+\beta}{2}$. We provide a number of examples indicating the sharpness of our results.

Abstract:Using the Dirichlet theorem on the equidistribution of residue classes modulo $q$ and the Lemke Oliver-Soundararajan conjecture on the distribution of pairs of residues on consecutive primes, we show that the domain of convergence of the infinite product of Dirichlet $L$-functions of non-principal characters can be extended from $\Re(s) > 1$ down to $\Re(s) > \half$, without encountering any zeros before reaching this critical line. The possibility of doing so can be traced back to a universal diffusive random walk behavior $C_N = {\cal O}(N^{1/2})$ of the series $C_N = \sum_{n=1}^N \chi (p_n)$ over the primes $p_n$ where $\chi$ is a Dirichlet character, which underlies the convergence of the infinite product of the Dirichlet functions. The series $C_N$ presents several aspects in common with stochastic time series and its control requires to address a problem similar to the Single Brownian Trajectory Problem in statistical mechanics. In the case of the Dirichlet functions of non principal characters, we show that this problem can be solved in terms of a self-averaging procedure based on an ensemble $\CE$ of block variables computed on extended intervals of primes. Those intervals, called {\em inertial intervals}, ensure the ergodicity and stationarity of the time series underlying the quantity $C_N$. The infinity of primes also ensures the absence of rare events which would have been responsible for a different scaling behavior than the universal law $C_N = {\cal O}(N^{1/2})$ of the random walks.
