Abstract:The problem of robust control for discrete time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainties was studied. A new sufficient condition of delay-dependent robust stabilizability was derived by introducing a zero formula and free weighting matrices. An explicit expression of the desired controller was also developed based on the solution of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Without any system transformation or inequalities to estimate the upper bound of the cross terms in the forward difference of Lyapunov functional, the corresponding conservatism on the stability condition is reduced. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of design procedure.

Abstract:We studied the delay-dependent stabilization problem for a class of uncertain singular system with time-delays and saturating controls. Theorems derived give sufficient conditions for delay-dependent stabilization of the singular systems with a combination of saturating controls and multiple time-delays in both state and control; we assumed the delays to be constant bounded but unknown, moreover, the uncertainties are also described to be unknown but bounded and the nonlinear terms included in the systems are fallen into a set. Under these sufficient conditions, the solution of the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and locally asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties. Furthermore, the results based on several Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) are developed to guarantee stability and be computed effectively. Finally, we advance an example to demonstrate the superiority of this method.

Abstract:In this paper, a stabilizing control algorithm for a class of discrete linear systems with delayed control is presentedbased on staged design idea. A timedelay transformation with past control information is introduced to transform a time-delay system into a linear delay-free system. The stabilizing controller to the primitive time-delay system is derived via a staged design method. The simulation study shows the effectiveness of the presented design method for an industrial electric heater example.

Abstract:This paper studies the delay-dependent memoryless robust stabilization problem for a class of uncertain linear system with time-varying delays in both state and control. The uncertain time-delay system under consideration include time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters. A new sufficient condition for the existence of memoryless robust stabilizing control law is derived. Abstract:A new design approach of delay-dependent robust stabilizing control for a class of uncertain time-delay systems with time-delay in both state and control variables is provided.A new linear state transformation is first proposed to separate the delay-dependent factors out.The sufficient condition of delay-dependent robust stabilizability is then derived by the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method.The results are given in terms of LMI.Numerical examples are presented to show that the proposed results can be less conservative and can be used to deal with small or large delay problems.

Abstract:The analysis and synthesis of H∞ control via state feedback for discrete switched systems with time delay subsystems are studied.Based on multiple Lyapunov functions theory,a new sufficient condition in form of LMI is derived for the H∞ performance analysis under arbitrary switching.Furthermore,a H∞ controller via state feedback of switched systems is established,and the result is extended to uncertain switched systems with time delay.Finally,two numerical examples show the feasibility of the designed controller.

Abstract:This paper investigates the problems of stability analysis and stabilization for stochastic time-delay systems. Firstly, this paper uses the martingale theory to investigate expectations of stochastic cross terms containing the Ito integral. On the basis of this, an improved delay-dependent stability criterion is derived for stochastic delay systems. In the derivation process, the mathematical development avoids bounding stochastic cross terms, and neither model transformation method nor free-weighting-matrix method is used. Thus, the method leads to a simple criterion and shows less conservatism. Secondly, on the basis of this stability result, this paper further proposes a state-feedback controller that exponentially stabilizes the stochastic delay system by a strict LMI. Therefore, unlike previous results, it is not necessary to transform the nonlinear matrix inequalities into LMIs by the cone complementarity linearization method or parameter-tuning method, which always yield a suboptimal solution. Finally, examples are provided to demonstrate the reduced conservatism of the proposed conditions.Copyright (c) 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilisation for uncertain discrete singular systems with time-varying delay is discussed in this article. First, a new delay-distribution-dependent Lyapunov function is established. Then, sufficient conditions are proposed for guaranteeing that the uncertain discrete singular system with time-varying delay has the properties of regularity, causality and stability. Finally, a suitable robust state feedback controller is designed by linear matrix inequality. Numerical examples illustrate that the results derived from the proposed method are less conservative than the existing ones.

Abstract:The robust stabilization problem for uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is addressed in this paper. In terms of strict linear matrix inequality and a finite Sum inequality, a delay-dependent criterion for the nominal systems to be admissible is obtained. Based on the criterion, a state feedback controller, which guarantees that, for all admissible uncertainties, the resulting closed-loop system is regular, causal and stable, is constructed. An explicit expression for the desired controller is also given. The obtained results include both delay-independent and delay-dependent cases. Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem of wireless networked control systems with network-induced delays of time-varying Markovian characterization. The effects of the sample rate changing on the network induced delay is the main topic. At first place, the time delay matrices changing stochastically and arbitrarily are considered. A state feedback controller is designed to guarantee the resulting close-loop system stochastically stable. Following that, a bridge is built to give out a uniform work. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness and potential of the developed theoretical results.
