Abstract:In the title compound, [Ag(NO3)(C5H5N2Br)2], the Ag atom is three coordinate in a highly distorted trigonal planar environment formed by two N atoms of 2-amino-5-bromopyridine and one O atom of a nitrate anion. In the crystal structure, there are four intermolecular interactions, i.e. N(4)-(4)…O(1) and N(2)-(2)B…O(1).

Abstract:The title complex has been prepared and its structure determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The complex crystallizes space group P2(1)/a with a = 12.833(3), b = 10.443(2), c = 16.628(2)Angstrom, beta = 111.686(9)degrees. The nicotinate anions bridge adjacent Cu(II) atoms through both the pyridine N atom and the carboxyl O atom to form zigzag polymeric chains along the b axis. The carboxyl group of the nicotinate anion coordinates to the Cu(II) atom as a unidentate. Based on the molecular structure the infrared spectrum is discussed.

Abstract:In the molecule of the title compound, [Ni(C5H4NO3S)(2)-( H2O)(4)], the Ni (II) cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by four water molecules and two pyridine-3sulfonate anions with an NiN2O4 distorted octahedral geometry. The face-to-face separation of 3.561( 5) angstrom between parallel pyridine rings indicates the existence of weak pi - pi stacking between the pyridine rings. The structure also contains intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding and weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding.

The Zn-II ion is located on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis and assumes a distorted tetrahedral ZnN2O2 coordination geometry. Abstract:The title compound, [Ag-2(NO3)(2)(C5H5NS)](n), was obtained from the reaction of silver nitrate with bis(4-pyridyl) disulfide (4-PDS) in a mixture of ethanol and water, which suggests that the disulfide bond of 4-PDS can be cleaved under mild conditions. The structure of the title compound is a two-dimensional infinite array in which the asymmetric unit contains two Ag atoms, a pyridinium-4-thiolate molecule and two nitrate groups. Each pyridinium-4-thiolate molecule acts as a mu(4) bridge, linking four Ag atoms, with Ag-S bond distances of 2.4870(19), 2.5791(19), 2.5992(19) and 2.848(2) Angstrom. The Ag...Ag distances lie in the range 2.889 (2)-3.049 (1) Angstrom.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title Ni(II) complex, [Ni(C(6)H(4)NO(3))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)], the Ni(II) atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is chelated by two oxidopyridiniumcarboxyl-ate anions and further cis-coordinated by two imidazole ligands in a distorted cis-N(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry. The C-O bond distance of 1.2573 (19) Å found for the non-coordinating O atom of the carboxyl-ate group indicates significant delocalization of π-electron density over this residue. Similarly, the C-O bond distance of 1.260 (2) Å in the heteroaromatic ring indicates delocalization between the deprotonated hydr-oxy group and the pyridinium ring. The uncoordinated carboxyl-ate O atom links with the imidazole and pyridinium rings of adjacent mol-ecules via N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, leading to a two-dimensional array parallel to (100).

Abstract:In the title compound, [Ag(C(7)H(5)O(2))(C(5)H(6)N(2))(2)], the Ag(I) atom is tricoordinated by two independent pyridine N atoms and one benzoate O atom in a nearly planar geometry. An intramolecular N-H.O hydrogen bond forms an S(8) graph ring. The packing is built from molecular layers stabilized by two types of N-H.O hydrogen bond. Intermolecular Ag.N and intramolecular Ag.O contacts were also observed, together with three weak intermolecular C-H.pi interactions.

Abstract:In the title compound, {[Ag(C3H10N2)][Ag(C7H4NO4)(2)]}(n), one of three independent Ag-I atoms forms a mononuclear complex with a nearly linear environment, coordinated by two O atoms from two 4-nitrobenzoate anions. The other two Ag atoms lie on inversion centers and are coordinated in a linear configuration by two N atoms from two propane-1,3-diamine ligands, giving zigzag polymeric chains with an [-Ag-N-C-C-C-N-](n) backbone running along the [011] direction.

Abstract:The title complex, [Ag(C7H5O2)(C4H5N3)](n), is a polymer based on a mononuclear silver(I)-centered fragment. The Ag-I atom is trigonally coordinated by two N atoms from two 2-aminopyrimidine ligands and one O atom from one benzoate anion, giving zigzag polymeric chains with an [- Ag - N - C - N-](n) backbone running along the a axis. It is proposed that intermolecular hydrogen bonding drives the formation of the chain polymer.
