Abstract:The robust D stabilization problem is considered for singular systems with polytopic uncertainties in this paper. Both the derivative matrix E and the state matrix A are with uncertainties, under the assumption that the rank of matrix E is constant. Firstly, with the introduction of some free matrices, a new dilated LMI condition for the singular system to be D stable is proposed, based on which, the robust D stable problem is solved, and a sufficient condition for the closed system to be robust D stabilizable is obtained. The desired state feedback controller is given in an explicit expression. Numerical examples show the efficiency of the obtained approach.

Abstract:This paper considers the problem of robust control for singular systems with state delay and parameter uncertainty. The time delay appears in both state and control input and is assumed to be length-bounded otherwise arbitrarily fast time-varying, while the parameter uncertainty under consideration is norm bounded and possibly time-varying. We first obtain a condition for a singular time-delay system to be regular, impulse free and stable, based on which, the problems of robust stability and robust stabilization are solved. An linear matrix inequality (LMI) design method is develop and an explicit expression for the desired stabilizing control is also given. The proposed synthesis method is illustrated by a numerical example.

Abstract:ABSTRACTThe problem of delay‐dependent robust stabilization for uncertain singular time‐delay systems is investigated in this paper. The parameter uncertainty is assumed to be norm‐bounded and possibly time‐varying, while the time delay considered here is assumed to be constant but unknown. A delay‐dependent condition is presented for a singular time‐delay system to be regular, impulse free, and stable, based on which robust stability analysis and the robust stabilization problem are studied. An explicit expression for the desired state‐feedback control law is also given. The obtained results are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which involve no decomposition of the system matrices. Some numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of the theoretical conditions.

Abstract:This paper is focused on the problem of robust stabilizing a class of uncertain linear time-delay systems via observer-based dynamic output feedback control law when the full state can not be measured. The systems under consideration are linear systems with time-varying state and control delays, they also contain time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters. A sufficient condition for the robust output feedback stabilizability of the system is derived and the control law can be constructed by solving two algebraic Riccati equations. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilization for uncertain discrete singular time‐delay systems is investigated. The considered systems are subject to norm‐bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time‐delay system to be regular, causal and stable. With this condition, the problems of robust stability and stabilization are solved. The obtained results are formulated in terms of strict LMIs. An explicit expression of the desired state‐feedback control law is also given, which involves no matrix decomposition. The proposed synthesis method is illustrated by a numerical example. Abstract:This paper focuses on the robust control analysis and synthesis problem of linear time-varying uncertain systems with delayed state and control when the full state can not be measured. A dynamic output feedback controller is derived to quadratically stabilize the linear time-delay system with norm-bounded uncertainty via introducing a linear delay-free state observer. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust output feedback control law are derived and two synthesis methods are presented for robust output feedback control law to uncertain time-delay systems. One is to construct robust output feedback control law by two equivalent linear time-invariant structural description for the sufficient conditions and the control law can be obtained by solving two Algebraic Riccati Equations(ARE). The other method is to transform the sufficient conditions into two Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) problems and the control law can be obtained by solving two LMI. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:This correspondence considers a problem of robust impulse control of uncertain singular systems by decentralized output-feedback. It derives a perturbation upper bound that ensures the existence of decentralized output-feedback control law such that the closed-loop system remains both regularity and impulse free for any allowable perturbations. Algebraic sufficient conditions are also presented that guarantee the existence of so-called decentralized robust impulse controllers.

Abstract:This paper studies complete stability robustness and feedback stabilization problem for uncertain singular systems. New perturbation upper bound that ensures the perturbed singular system remains completely stable (impulse-free and asymptotically stable) is derived. Analysis and examples show that the present result is less conservative than the previous ones. Based on an algorithm for eigenstructure assignment, a procedure to construct a state feedback matrix that maximizes the complete stability robustness bound of the closed-loop system is presented.

Abstract:This paper focuses on robust stabilization analysis and synthesis for linear time-varying uncertain dynamic systems with delayed state. A dynamic output feedback controller is presented to quadratically stabilize the plant for all admissible uncertainties and the sufficient conditions for the existence of output feedback robust stabilizing controller are derived. Two equivalent linear time-invariant structural descriptions for the time-varying uncertain systems with delayed state are obtained to get the controller gain matrix and the observer gain matrix.

Abstract:This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent robust stability of a class of uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems. The considered systems are subject to norm-bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A new approach is introduced to take the relationship between the fast and slow subsystems of a discrete singular time-delay system, based on which, a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) criterion is obtained for a discrete singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. The result on robust stability of uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is also obtained and expressed in terms of LMIs. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method

Abstract:This paper considers the robust output regulation problem for a class of nonlinear systems, not detectable by the regulated output. Differently from the previous results on the subject, it is supposed that the considered class of systems is in the normal form not defined on the conventional regulated output. We propose a novel internal model structure that, joined to a high-gain stabilizing action, solves the output regulation problem robustly with respect to possible uncertainties affecting the systems.

Abstract:The robust stabilization problem for uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is addressed in this paper. In terms of strict linear matrix inequality and a finite Sum inequality, a delay-dependent criterion for the nominal systems to be admissible is obtained. Based on the criterion, a state feedback controller, which guarantees that, for all admissible uncertainties, the resulting closed-loop system is regular, causal and stable, is constructed. An explicit expression for the desired controller is also given. The obtained results include both delay-independent and delay-dependent cases. Abstract:In this paper, the robust stability of a linear system with constant output feedback in the presence of structured uncertainty is analyzed with characterizing a region in the parameter space. A new necessary and sufficient condition of robust stability for the closed loop system with a single parameter uncertainty is given. And the algebraic expressions on a stability region of the closed loop system with multiparameter uncertainty, which is interesting in practical engineering have been derived and a sufficient condition which the closed loop system is robust stable is given also. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the results.

Abstract:This note deals with the robust output regulation problem for a class of nonlinear systems with dynamic uncertainties. The design procedure is mainly divided into two parts. Firstly, the internal model part is proposed to extend system equations and convert the robust output regulation to robust stabilization problem. Then, the combined backstepping and small-gain approach is introduced to tackle with the corresponding unknown nonlinearities and dynamic uncertainties. It has been demonstrated that the proposed controller regulates the error signal to zero while maintaining overall signals uniform boundness.
