Abstract:The structure of new complex [(2, 3, 2)Ni(ImH)(2)] (ClO4)(2) where (2, 3, 2) is N,N'-bis(2-aminoehyl)-1, 3-propyldiamine and ImH is imidazole, consists of a [(2, 3, 2)Ni(ImH)(2)](2+) cation and two perchloratas. The nickel( II ) atom in the cation has distorted octahedronal coordination geometry and is six-coordinated by six N atoms, four of which from (2,3,2) and two from the imidazoles. The (2,3,2) adopts the cis-conformation.The structure of new complex [(2, 3, 2)(2)Ni-2 (Im)] (ClO4)(3) consists of one [(2, 3, 2)(2)Ni-2 (Im)](3+) cation and three perchlorates, Each copper atom in the cation is five-coordinate, with four (2,3,2) N atoms forming an approximate plane and a bridging imidazolate in the apical position of distorted tetragonal pyramid, The Ni-Ni separation is 6.11 (Angstrom).
