Abstract:The films or video tapes are used to record images and the target is labeled manually in traditional methods for detecting small and remote object. The disadvantages of the methods are that the labor intensity is great, detection speed is slow and the location accuracy is low. A novel method based on the digital image processing technology is putted forward in the paper The following technology is used in our method such as the real-time digital image capture, the large capacity storage of images, and the automatic machine detection. Thus improve the efficiency and the precision of target detection greatly. The method of the static target detection is as follow. The dynamic threshold segmentation are used to separate the target from complicated background. The candidate targets are labeled according with the region label law. Through calculating the matching degree of the feature parameter of the candidate and standard target, the real targets are selected from the candidate. Finally the cross center of the target is located with the projection law. On the basis of the static target detection, the paper puts forward the strategy of dynamic target tracking. The target is sought in the overall image firstly. After the target is located, the target in next frame will be detected in an small range around the location point of the current frame. The candidate is valid if the matching degree is greater than a threshold, otherwise it is thought that the target is lost and the target is sought newly in the whole range in the next frame. Experiments indicate our strategy is fit to the request of the dynamic target detection and tracking in the shooting range.
