Abstract:Based on original yarn model,light interaction model is taken into account to enhance the realistic effect of fabric surface. Using BRDF function of the material can render the weave of microstructure of the fabric.Meanwhile,this paper emphasizes the light interaction model of the fabric,the algorithm of BRDF and the implementation details.The improved simulation system with BRDF algorithm can generate more realistic texture.For coarse and complicated weave pattern jacquard,the simulation is especially perfect.

Abstract:The characteristics and functions of the fabric simulation software TexGen are introduced. It applications in fabric mechanics, composite material mechanics, fabric permeability and the heat transfer of composite materials are also described. The glass fiber woven fabric was simulated by Texgen, which further explains the method and advantages of utilizing TexGen to simulate fabric. Finally, the application prospects and the development of TexGen in the future are also forecasted.

Abstract:Fabric structure has a significant effect on the thermal protective performance of fabrics. Before studying the thermal performance of textiles by numerical methods, it is essential to create geometric models of textile structures. Common fabrics, such as plain weave, 2/1 twill, 3/3 twill, 5/3 satin, and double layer fabric, were modeled using TexGen software. To obtain the input data for geometry simulation of fabrics, geometric measurements were studied. Methods of modeling fabric geometries according to their yarn path function and cross-sectional shapes were introduced. The appearances of the geometric models were very close to the structures of the real fabrics when compared to their light microscopic images. The fabric models were well used to simulate the heat transfer properties of glass fiber fabrics.
Apparel Products Simulation Using Texture Mapping with Color Fidelity.

Abstract:In this paper, a new technique to simulate apparel products is introduced. The technique includes two issues: texture mapping and color fidelity. A texture grid is generated interactively to map the pixels in the target area onto the texture space. Through this grid, user can subtly twist and stretch the texture to achieve realistic effects. As the proposed texture mapping technique is image based, the computation complication and the mapping distortion caused by three-dimensional (3D) models can be avoided. We employ the dichromatic model to achieve the color fidelity. The color signals in the target area are divided into two linear components according to the model. Then only one component is substituted by the new color specified by users while the other one is held. This substitution technique is accomplished automatically and can keep the illuminant distribution on the target area unchanged.

Abstract:A fabric simulation system of 2D virtual scene is researched and implemented in this paper. The system not only simulates the folds and transformations of the scene realistically but also allows replacement and modification of fabric. The finite element mesh algorithm is used to model the virtual scene. In order to avert deformations of texture mapping, the cubic polynomial interpolation algorithm is proposed in this paper. It can overcome the low-pass characteristic of the bilinear interpolation algorithm by eliminating the jags generated from texture mapping. To make the scene simulation more stereo, this paper utilizes the intensity based fusion algorithm, which retains the original scene's intensity. The experimental results show that the two-dimensional fabric scene simulation system is accurate and realistic, and has rapid time response.

Abstract:Based on theories of computer graphics and computer simulation technology, this paper has set forth appearance parameter models of fancy yarns in the light of the spinning principle and the physical and geometric structure of fancy yarns. And in combination with local illumination model and diffuse reflection model, the paper has solved the key problems of graphics expression of yarn appearance and simulating structural effect of yarns in light. This paper will discuss the methods of simulating three kinds of fancy yarn - loop yarn, wave yarn and chenille yarn. A visual representation, namely parameterized structural model of appearance, is created by abstracting from the physical and geometric configuration of real fancy yarn. Such improved approach for simulation would help for further optimizing the design of the fabrics made from fancy yarns, which has the theoretical and practical value.

Abstract:Textile emulation is a key problem in the visual textile presentation. In this paper, we present a new algorithm to achieve the realistic feeling of textile. This algorithm first divides the target area into some texture blocks that have different texture directions. Then morphs the texture coordinate of each texture block. The calculating speed of this algorithm is very fast, so it is more suitable for the visual textile presentation of e-commence.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose an image-based texture mapping technique for textile products exhibition that does not require geometric representation of 3D models. Under this technique, a texture grid is built interactively for a target area in an original image. This grid acts as the intermediate space between planar space and texture space. The texture coordinate for each pixel in the target area can be calculated based on this grid, and the 3D effect can be successfully realized by further fine adjustment of the grid. This technique can be applied in apparel products exhibition and interior design.
A Hybrid Rendering Algorithm for Textile Objects

Abstract:Although realistic textile rendering has been widely used in virtual garment and try-on systems, a robust method to simulate textile with a realistic appearance and high fidelity is yet to be established. We propose to use a novel hybrid geometric- and image-based rendering (GIBR) method to achieve photo realistic representation of textile products. The image-based technique, with its radiance synthesis algorithm, enables us to recover the reffectance properties of textile in an environment photo, and thus can render the appearance of textile material. The geometry-based technique, with its traditional illumination model of assigning illumination parameters extracted from the original scene (such as radiance and chroma dispatch), makes it possible to interactively manipulate 3D virtual objects in the real environment. Our realistic textile rendering method has advantages over the traditional ones in its easiness to implement and its wide range of applications.

Abstract:The texture mapping in computer graphics were discussed.Combined with textile scene simulation system,a texture mapping algorithm was presented which is efficient and effective.The realizing process of texture mapping were given,and by utilizing of graphic pro-processing,anti-aliasing,color synthesis of pixel point technology,the simulation in various scenes was realized.Programmed in delphi7,the simulation research shows that the textile designers can view the effect of simulation in the beginning of design.While the ordinary customers can select their favorite textile when shopping,and the system has a wide prospect of application.

Abstract:To shorten developing time,reduce cost of textile design and build more effective communication between enterprises and customers,a new realization method to simulate real effect of textile in 2D virtual environment is presented.By utilizing accumulative bowstring arc length curve for curve fitting,and adding inner control lines in curving quadrangle,established in 2D virtual environment,simulation effect and accuracy are improved and then finite element mesh is generated with bilinear interpolation.Finally by using the texture mapping technology based on triangle mesh,objective area trimming and color synthesis of pixel point technologies,mapping between texture and curving mesh is completed.Designers can simulate the effect of the designed products in this system,programmed in Delphi7,at the beginning of design.System architecture,implementation principle,and core algorithm are introduced and then a detailed and effective method for texture mapping is provided.Through the above method,a good simulation effect of texture mapping is gained,which demonstrates that this method has a wide application prospect.

Abstract:Physically based cloth simulation has become a key technique of virtual garment and try-on systems. However, a approach capable on simulating the cloth in both visual and physical realism has not been available. A new anisotropic textile modeling method based on mass-spring system is presented in this paper, which models the warps and wefts separately conforming to texture composition of different material fabrics. Our simulation process consists of two main steps: Firstly, the rigid object simulation and secondly the flexible mass simulation approaching equilibrium. The technique of multiresolution modeling is employed to balance the presentation realism and computational cost. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of our method.
Cloth2Tex: A Customized Cloth Texture Generation Pipeline for 3D Virtual Try-On

Abstract:Fabricating and designing 3D garments has become extremely demanding with the increasing need for synthesizing realistic dressed persons for a variety of applications, e.g. 3D virtual try-on, digitalization of 2D clothes into 3D apparel, and cloth animation. It thus necessitates a simple and straightforward pipeline to obtain high-quality texture from simple input, such as 2D reference images. Since traditional warping-based texture generation methods require a significant number of control points to be manually selected for each type of garment, which can be a time-consuming and tedious process. We propose a novel method, called Cloth2Tex, which eliminates the human burden in this process. Cloth2Tex is a self-supervised method that generates texture maps with reasonable layout and structural consistency. Another key feature of Cloth2Tex is that it can be used to support high-fidelity texture inpainting. This is done by combining Cloth2Tex with a prevailing latent diffusion model. We evaluate our approach both qualitatively and quantitatively and demonstrate that Cloth2Tex can generate high-quality texture maps and achieve the best visual effects in comparison to other methods. Abstract:With the development of textile CAD, great advances have been made on fabric simulation. Most of their methods are based on the simulation of yarn to simulate fabric. However, the effect of their simulation of fabric depends on the complicated and fuzzy characteristic of fabric. From yarn to generate fabric, the fabric loses the reality on wrinkles, lightness, and randomness. According to analyzing the brocade picture, there are few weave structures on the brocade. In this paper, a method has been approved to simulate brocade with weave structure and yarn texture. Firstly, the weave structures on brocade were recognized from the picture of brocade. Secondly, the texture information on the yarn was combined with color and luminance. Finally, based on the weave structures and the texture information, the 2D simulation image of brocade was created. Compared with the true image of brocade, it has same structure with sense of reality on the appearance of the simulated brocade. Therefore, the method is useful for the simulation of brocade and contributes to the traditional simulation of fabric with less weave structures.

Abstract:In order to realize the function of fabric simulation in computer aided design (CAD),the fabric simulation display system based on WebGL was designed.The real fabric structure was extracted by K-means clustering algorithm.The 2D simulation was generated by the real fabric structure and divided into areas.The 3D simulation based on WebGL adopted the pseudo-curved mesh model to correspond to the self-defined region on the three-dimensional model.The 3D simulation blended with illumination model simulated the fabric realistic simulation in 3D Scene.The simulation results show that the realistic effect can be obtained.The system can be used to realize the combination of 2D and 3D simulation of fabric, and has the function of auxiliary design and better practical value.

Abstract:In this paper, a method of displaying 3D model on the web end based on Three.js library which can simulate the wrinkle and distortion of fabric and support the replacement and modification of texture is realized. The visual effect of a specific fabric texture can be evaluated after texture mapping from the custom area in the model. At first, extract the texture image of 3D model and model it by using the finite element mesh algorithm. Using cubic convolution interpolation algorithm to solve the texture mapping anti aliasing problem can effectively smooth the jags after texture mapping so that the result of fabric simulation is more accurate and realistic. The luminance information of the scene is preserved based on fusion algorithm to make texture mapping more stereo. Introduce the processed texture and 3D model into the Web end for 3D display, which can help to evaluate the effect of different fabrics in different scenes.

Abstract:The paper,according to the requirement of cloth simulation,develops a software for textile 2D environmental simulation.Bilinear interpolation is proposed to model the cloth's curving surface meshes.The experimental results of curing surface modeling using the algorithm prove that this algorithm is effective,expeditious,and practical.According to the texture mapping and computer color model,the system implements an easy-operating and effective interpolation method.Shading processing is also considered when we want to exactly simulate the cloth surface.

Abstract:In this article, the authors establish a new method of developing weave simulation CAD system. Firstly, a mathematic model for yarn simulation is set up, which is based on light and shade effect generated by illumination. And then, after abstracting the surface layer information of woven fabric, the authors finally realize the weave simulation, with the floating principle fully considered. Besides, each functional module is designed to be relatively independent, which is helpful for updating system in the future.
