Abstract:Various types of adsorber have been used in adsorption systems, such as shell and tube adsorber, flat pipe adsorber, flat plate adsorber and plate-fin adsorber, but none of them can satisfy all requirements. This paper introduced a spiral plate adsorber used for heat regenerative adsorption refrigeration cycle with active carbon-methanol as working medium. The experimental results show that this adsorber has good performance and can reduce the cycle period significantly.
