Abstract:Taking Z*�� and E�� as the effective interactions in Hartree - Fock thoery, the comparison between the calculations by using two methods for treatment of pairing interaction is carried out. Abstract:Ground state properties of light isotopes from helium to oxygen, such as binding energies, spin parities, rms radii, and halo phenomena are studied systematically by the Skyrme Hartree-Fock model with fit E-sigma as the effective interaction. Since the particle number of the studied system is rather small, pairing interactions between identical nucleons are treated with the particle number conservation method. The results of the calculation show that most of the ground state properties can be well described. Some unsuccessful points of the calculation are pointed out.

Abstract:A self-consistent quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA) model that employs the canonical Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) basis and an energy-density functional with a Skyrme mean-field part and a density-dependent pairing is used to study the monopole collective excitations of spherical even-even nuclei. The influence of the spurious state on the strength function of the isoscalar monopole excitations is clearly assessed. We compare the effect of different kinds of pairing forces (volume pairing, surface pairing, and mixed pairing) on the monopole excitation strength function. The energy of the isoscalar giant monopole resonance (ISGMR), which is related to the nuclear incompressibility K-infinity, is calculated for tin isotopes and the results are discussed.

Abstract:We systematically calculate the ground state properties of superheavy even-even nuclei with proton number Z=94–118. The calculations are based on the liquid drop macroscopic model and the microscopic model with the modified single-particle oscillator potential. The calculated binding energies and α-decay energies agree well with the experimental data. The reliability of the macroscopic-microscopic(MM)model for superheavy nuclei is confirmed by the good agreement between calculated results and experimental ones. Detailed comparisons between our calculations and Möller’s are made. It is found that the calculated results also agree with Möller’s results and that the MM model is insensitive to the microscopic single-particle potential. Calculated results are also compared with results from relativistic mean-field (RMF) model and from Skyrme-Hatree-Fock(SHF) model. In addition, half-lives, deformations and shape coexistence are also investigated. The properties of some unknown nuclei are predicted and they will be useful for future experimental researches of superheavy nuclei.

Abstract:Starting from realistic nuclear forces, the chiral N$^3$LO and JISP16, we have applied many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) to the structure of closed-shell nuclei, $^4$He and $^{16}$O. The two-body N$^3$LO interaction is softened by a similarity renormalization group transformation while JISP16 is adopted without renormalization. The MBPT calculations are performed within the Hartree-Fock (HF) bases. The angular momentum coupled scheme is used, which can reduce the computational task. Corrections up to the third order in energy and up to the second order in radius are evaluated. Higher-order corrections in the HF basis are small relative to the leading-order perturbative result. Using the anti-symmetrized Goldstone diagram expansions of the wave function, we directly correct the one-body density for the calculation of the radius, rather than calculate corrections to the occupation propabilities of single-particle orbits as found in other treatments. We compare our results with other methods where available and find good agreement. This supports the conclusion that our methods produce reasonably converged results with these interactions. We also compare our results with experimental data.

Abstract:The neutron halo and other ground-state properties of light nuclei have been studied systematically by mean-field approximation with Skyrme force fit Eσ as the effective interaction. Pairing interactions between identical nucleons are considered with the particle number conservation (PNC) method. The relationship between neutron pairing interaction and neutron halo in light nuclei is discussed based on the calculation.

Abstract:Nuclear pairing energy of dozens of atomic nuclei in nuclear period chart are calculated along the stable line by extracting the swatch at a proton or neutron number interval of 4. Especially, we have studied the rule of pairing energy of the even-even nuclei of O isotopes changing with nucleon number under the relativistic mean-field model, and found, when energy gap Δ is fixed, the magnitude of nuclear pairing energy is related to nuclear shell structure. Thereof we propose a simple method to test closed shell, and further, we conclude that the neutron number N=6 is a new magic number not only in neutron-rich region, but also in proton-rich region of light nuclei.

Abstract:With the Skyrme force E�� and Hartree-Fock approximation, the structure of neutron rich isotopes of Li and Be are studied. Special attention is paid to the neutron pairing interaction, which is treated with a particle number conservation method. Close connection between the neutron pairing interaction and the double neutron halo is demonstrated.

Abstract:In this work we test the validity of a Hartree-Fock plus Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer model in which a finite-range interaction is used in the two steps of the calculation by comparing the results obtained to those found in a fully self-consistent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculations using the same <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://interaction.Specifically" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a>, we consider the Gogny-type D1S and D1M forces. We study a wide range of spherical nuclei, far from the stability line, in various regions of the nuclear chart, from oxygen to tin isotopes. We calculate various quantities related to the ground state properties of these nuclei, such as binding energies, radii, charge and density distributions and elastic electron scattering cross sections. The pairing effects are studied by direct comparison with the Hartree-Fock results. Despite of its relative simplicity, in most of the cases, our model provides results very close to those of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculations, and it reproduces rather well the empirical evidences of pairing effects in the nuclei investigated.

Abstract:The nucleon-nucleon pairing forces were studied under the relativistic mean-field theory with the paring corrections by BCS approximation.The coupled equations of motion were solved by self-consistency with the interaction parameter set NL3.The gap parameters were fixed by reproducing ground state properties of 11950Sn,14058Ce,and 17871Lu.The properties of two medium isotope chains Ca and K and three heavy isotope chains Ce,Pr and Nd were investigated.The results indicated that the strength of the pairing forces Gn and Gp have a strong shell effects for the medium(N=20 and 28) and heavy nuclei(N=82) near the β stability line,thus a new method to search new magic numbers was provided.

Abstract:The influence of short-range correlations in nuclei was investigated with realistic nuclear force. The nucleon-nucleon interaction was renormalized with Vlowk technique and applied to the Green’s function calculations. The Dyson equation was reformulated with algebraic diagrammatic constructions. We also analyzed the binding energy of 4He, calculated with chiral potential and CD-Bonn potential. The properties of Green’s function with realistic nuclear forces are also discussed.

Abstract:The low energy electron impact cross sections of helium from some low excited states are calculated in the R-matrix method. The convergences of the cross sections are checked systematically by using 5 sets of high quality target states; i.e., 5, 11, 19,29 and 39 physical target states.

Abstract:The microscopic energies and nuclear deformations of about 1850 even-even nuclei are calculated systematically within the macroscopic-microscopic framework using three Woods-Saxon parameterizations, with different isospin dependences, which were constructed mainly for nuclear spectroscopy calculations. Calculations are performed in the deformation space $(\beta_2, \gamma, \beta_4)$. Both the monopole and doubly stretched quadrupole interactions are considered for the pairing channel. The ground state deformations obtained by the three calculations are quite similar to each other. Large differences are seen mainly in neutron-rich nuclei and in superheavy nuclei. Systematic calculations on the shape-coexisting second minima are also presented. As for the microscopic energies of the ground states, the results are also very close to each other. Only in a few cases the difference is larger than 2 MeV. The total binding energy is estimated by adding the macroscopic energy provided by the usual liquid drop model with its parameters fitted through the least square root and minimax criteria. Calculations are also compared with the results of other macroscopic-microscopic mass models. All the three calculations give similar values for the deformations, microscopic energies and binding energies of most nuclei. One may expect to have a better understanding of the isospin dependence of the spin-orbital force with more data on proton- and neutron-rich nuclei.

Abstract:Taking into account the results that we have been obtained during the last decade in the foundations of quantum mechanic we put forward a view on reality that we call the 'creation discovery view'. In this view it is made explicit that a measurement is an act of a macroscopic physical entity on a microphysical entity that entails the creation of new elements of reality as well as the detection of existing elements of reality. Within this view most of the quantum mechanical paradoxes are due to structural shortcomings of the standard quantum theory, which means that our analysis agrees with the claim made in the Einstein Podolsky Rosen paper, namely that standards quantum mechanics is an incomplete theory. This incompleteness is however not due to the absence of hidden variables but to the impossibility for standard quantum mechanics to describe separated quantum entities. Nonlocality appears as a genuine property of nature in our view and makes it necessary to reconsider the role of space in reality. Our proposal for a new interpretation for space makes it possible to put forward an new hypothesis for why it has not been possible to unify quantum mechanics and relativity theory.

Abstract:We have established the anti-symmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD) calculation including a computational code. A phenomenological Gogny-type nuclear force including spin-orbit coupling has been used. A zero-range three-body force described by 8 function is adopted. In order to reduce the computing time, in the present work we mainly performed variation-before-projection calculations. Again due to the limitation of computer capability, the calculations are limited to light nuclei. In the present work, we have investigated the light nuclei from the lightest He-3 to heaviest C-16 nuclei. From calculated density distributions by the AMD model, we can see clustering or molecular structures in the light nuclei. The AMD model can also give reasonable binding energies compared with data. We have calculated the spectra of the investigated nuclei, obtaining quite good results compared with experimental data. As a example, we performed a variation-after-projection calculation for Be-10, showing the significant improvement in the calculation of binding energy. The calculations give that the 0(+) and 1(-) states have different molecular structures.

The calculated spectra display fingerprints of a second-order shape phase transition that can approximately be described by analytic solutions corresponding to the E(5) dynamical symmetry.

Abstract:We present several coupled-cluster calculations of ground and excited states of 4He and 16O employing methods from quantum chemistry. A comparison of coupled cluster results with the results of exact diagonalization of the hamiltonian in the same model space and other truncated shell-model calculations shows that the quantum chemistry inspired coupled cluster approximations provide an excellent description of ground and excited states of nuclei, with much less computational effort than traditional large-scale shell-model approaches. Unless truncations are made, for nuclei like 16O, full-fledged shell-model calculations with four or more major shells are not possible. However, these and even larger systems can be studied with the coupled cluster methods due to the polynomial rather than factorial scaling inherent in standard shell-model studies. This makes the coupled cluster approaches, developed in quantum chemistry, viable methods for describing weakly bound systems of interest for future nuclear facilities.

Abstract:Level density $\rho(E,N,Z)$ is calculated for the two-component close- and open-shell nuclei with a given energy $E$, and neutron $N$ and proton $Z$ numbers, taking into account pairing effects within the microscopic-macroscopic approach (MMA). These analytical calculations have been carried out by using the semiclassical statistical mean-field approximations beyond the saddle-point method of the Fermi gas model in a low excitation-energies range. The level density $\rho$, obtained as function of the system entropy $S$, depends essentially on the condensation energy $E_{\rm cond}$ through the excitation energy $U$ in super-fluid nuclei. The simplest super-fluid approach, based on the BCS theory, accounts for a smooth temperature dependence of the pairing gap $\Delta$ due to particle number fluctuations. Taking into account the pairing effects in magic or semi-magic nuclei, excited below neutron resonances, one finds a notable pairing phase transition.Pairing correlations sometimes improve significantly the comparison with experimental data.
