Abstract:In the (x-y) plane, thermal expansion of aluminum-matrix composites reinforced by carbon fiber with orthogonal arrangement was measured. It was found that the thermal expansion of composites in the (x-y) plane was related to heat treatment. The heat stress is analyzed. It is proved that the thermal expansion difference is caused by the internal stress of the composites.
