Abstract:In this paper, we apply the modified variational iteration method to a generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. The numerical solutions of the initial value problem of the generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV equation are provided. Numerical results are given to show the efficiency of the modified variational iteration method.

Abstract:We introduced a fifth-order partial differential equation as a generalization of Hirota-Satsuma coupled with KdV system. This equation is investigated based on tanh method. By applying the suitable independent variable in Hirota-Satsuma equation, we can convert this partial differential equations(PDE) into ordinary differential equations(ODE) .Solving the converted Hirota-Satsuma equation by numerical methods we showed this equation have had soliton solution.

Abstract:We find all polynomials $Z(z)$ such that the differential equation $${X(z)\frac{d^2}{dz^2}+Y(z)\frac{d}{dz}+Z(z)}S(z)=0,$$ where $X(z), Y(z), Z(z)$ are polynomials of degree at most 4, 3, 2 respectively, has polynomial solutions $S(z)=\prod_{i=1}^n(z-z_i)$ of degree $n$ with distinct roots $z_i$. We derive a set of $n$ algebraic equations which determine these roots. We also find all polynomials $Z(z)$ which give polynomial solutions to the differential equation when the coefficients of X(z) and Y(z) are algebraically dependent. As applications to our general results, we obtain the exact (closed-form) solutions of the Schrödinger type differential equations describing: 1) Two Coulombically repelling electrons on a sphere; 2) Schrödinger equation from kink stability analysis of $\phi^6$-type field theory; 3) Static perturbations for the non-extremal Reissner-Nordström solution; 4) Planar Dirac electron in Coulomb and magnetic fields; and 5) O(N) invariant decatic anharmonic oscillator.

Solutions of distinct physical structures for two generalized KdV equations

Abstract:This paper deals with two generalized KdV equations which possess three high order nonlinear terms. A technique based on the reduction of order for solving differential equations and variable transformations is employed to find the bell type, kink type, solitary patterns, peakons and periodic solutions for the equations under several circumstances. It is shown that the exponents of the nonlinear terms, the wave speed of the solutions and the coefficients of the derivatives of the equations play a major role in the qualitative change of the physical structures of the solutions. Abstract:Abstract We present exact solutions for new (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear equations of wave propagation and fluids. We use the tanh/sech method combined with a computer symbolic system for a reliable treatment of this work. We determine a variety of exact solutions for each equation that contains soliton, kink and periodic solutions. The constraints that guarantee the existence of soliton and kink solutions were examined and found to be related to the coefficients k , r and s of the space variables x , y , and z respectively.

Abstract:In this paper, a class of (3+1)-dimensional generalized Korteweg-de Vries-Zakharov-Kuznetsov (KdV-ZK) equation is studied by utilizing the bifurcation theory of the planar dynamical systems and the Fan sub-function method. This model can be used to explain the effects of magnetic fields on weakly nonlinear ion-acoustic waves investigated in plasma fields composed of cold and hot electrons. Under the different parameter conditions, the phase portraits and bifurcations are derived, and new exact solutions including soliton, periodic, kink and breaking wave solutions for the model are constructed. Moreover, some exact solutions, which contain soliton, kink, trigonometric function, hyperbolic function, Jacobi elliptic function solutions, are derived via the improved Fan sub-function method. The types of solutions obtained completely correspond to the types of the orbits acquired above, which verifies the validity of the method. Finally, the physical structures of some exact solutions are analyzed in graphical forms.

Abstract:The Myrzakulov-I equation is a 2+1-dimensional generalization of the Heisenberg ferromagnetic equation and has a non-isospectral Lax pair. The Darboux transformation with non-constant spectral parameter is constructed and an extra constraint on the spectral parameter for the existence of the Darboux transformation is derived. Explicit expressions of the solutions of the Myrzakulov-I equation are presented.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to improving the general Kudryashov method by a new and general auxiliary equation. So, a new method is introduced, which we call 'the general improved Kudryashov method', to produce exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations arising in mathematical physics. As application examples, exact traveling wave solutions for the combined Korteweg–de Vries and modified Korteweg–de Vries (KdV–mKdV) equation and the (2+1)-dimensional Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation are obtained. These solutions can be classified as solitary and periodic wave solutions. Some of the obtained solutions are graphically sketched.

Abstract:Due to the importance of the nonlinear partial differential equations in applied physics, many mathematicians and physicists are interesting to the nonlinear partial differential equations. One of the main tasks of studying the nonlinear partial differential equations is to obtain the exact solutions for the nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, we study the exact solutions of a generalized (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equation. According to the modified hyperbolic function method and the traveling transformation method, the generalized (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equation is changed into an ordinary differential equation. By taking the homogeneous balance between the highest order nonlinear terms and the derivatives of the highest order, we change the differential equation into an algebraic system. By solving the algebraic system, we obtain the solutions for the nonlinear partial differential equation. At last, some solutions and their figures are given by specific parameters. All the solutions conclude the triangle function solutions, the positive hyperbolic function solutions, and the hyperbolic triangle function solutions. These solutions exhibit the dynamics of nonlinear waves and the solutions are useful for the study on interaction behavior of nonlinear waves in shallow water, plasma, nonlinear optics and Bose–Einstein condensates.

Abstract:In this paper, the exact solutions of the (2 + 1)-dimensional variable coefficient Sakovich equation are investigated. Four distinct analytical methods, containing the unified method, the modified Kudryashov method, the modified G ′ G 2 -expansion method and the improved Riccati sub-equation method, are implemented to find new exact solutions of this equation. Soliton and periodic soliton solutions, elliptic solutions, kink solutions and traveling wave solutions, which are expressed in polynomial, rational, trigonometric and hyperbolic forms, have been obtained and are graphically represented with the aim of exhibiting the structures and dynamic behaviors of the equation. Furthermore, we have discussed the influence of variable coefficients on soliton behaviors in detail.

Abstract:In this paper, based on a new general ansatze, the extended G^'G-expansion method is proposed to seek exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. Being concise and straightforward, this method is applied to construct travelling wave solutions of Whitham-Broer-Kaup-Like equations and coupled Hirota-Satsuma KdV equations. By using this method, new exact solutions involving parameters, expressed by three types of functions which are the hyperbolic functions, the trigonometric functions and the rational functions, are obtained. When the parameters are taken as special values, some solitary wave solutions are derived from the hyperbolic function solutions.

Quasi-exact solution expands the idea of exact solution for additional values of parameters of differential equation. These solutions are approximate solutions of nonlinear differential equations but they are close to exact solutions. Quasi-exact solutions of the the Kuramoto--Sivashinsky, the Korteweg--de Vries--Burgers and the Kawahara equations are founded.

Abstract:We propose a numerical method for finding solitary wave solutions of generalized Korteweg-de Vries equations by solving the nonlinear eigenvalue problem on an unbounded domain. The artificial boundary conditions are obtained to make the domain finite. We specially discuss the soliton solutions of the K(m,n) equation and KdV–K(m,n) equation. Furthermore for the mixed models of linear and nonlinear dispersion, the collision behaviors of soliton–soliton and soliton–antisoliton are observed.

Abstract:The homogeneous balance method is extended to seek for Bäcklund transformation, Lax pairs, non-local symmetries of variable coefficient KdV equation (VCKdVE). Then based on the Bäcklund transformation and general solutions of a fourth-order nonlinear ordinary differential equation, five kinds of exact solutions of VCKdVE are derived. Abstract:In this article, we construct the exact solutions of Kudryashov–Sinelshchikov equation (KSE) which is the generalization of KdV and describes the nonlinear waves in mixtures of gas–liquid in the absence of viscosity. We apply the Sardar-subequation method and the new extended hyperbolic function method to construct the exact solutions of KSE. Various novel computational solutions are demonstrated by two distinct types of sketches. These solutions reveal that current techniques are appropriate, fruitful and straightforward.
