Anisotropic conical diffraction in doped KVSBN crystals with two incident beams

Abstract:The anisotropic conical diffraction generated by two extraordinary polarized beams with doped KNSBN crystals was reported. An anisotropic diffraction pattern with three diffraction cones had been observed, and the mechanism of photorefractive four-wave mixing performed by the incident beams and forward scattered beams satisfying the phase matching condition was proposed. For the experimental geometry where two beams incident on the sample symmetrically, the dependence of the angles of the diffraction cones on the incident angles was presented. The theoretical analysis agrees well with the experimental results.
