Abstract:The configuration and basic operation of shunt active power filters were introduced. Three control modes of shunt active power filters, i.e. load current detecting control mode, source current detecting control mode and composite control mode were analyzed emphatically. The theoretical analysis and experimental results make it evident that the composite control mode can get ideal compensating characteristics.
