Abstract:•A trend from inhibition to recovery in dissipation rate of antibiotics was found.•Combined treatment of antibiotics did not obviously alter the dissipation rate.•The transient inhibitory effect on soil respiration activities was detected.•Repeated treatments of antibiotics stimulated urease and dehydrogenase activities.•Bacterial community resistance increased with antibiotic treatment frequency.
