Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence and concentration of positive ground state solutions for the semilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system {[ -ε^2Δ u + a(x)u + λϕ(x)u = b(x)f(u), x ∈ℝ^3,; -ε^2Δϕ = u^2, u ∈ H^1(ℝ^3), x ∈ℝ^3, ]. where ε > 0 is a small parameter and λ ≠ 0 is a real parameter, f is a continuous superlinear and subcritical nonlinearity. Suppose that a ( x ) has at least one minimum and b ( x ) has at least one maximum. We first prove the existence of least energy solution ( u ε , φ ε ) for λ ≠ 0 and ε > 0 sufficiently small. Then we show that u ε converges to the least energy solution of the associated limit problem and concentrates to some set. At the same time, some properties for the least energy solution are also considered. Finally, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of positive ground state solutions.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we study the existence and concentration of positive ground state solutions for the semilinear Schrödinger-Poisson system where ε > 0 is a small parameter and λ ≠ 0 is a real parameter, f is a continuous superlinear and subcritical nonlinearity. Suppose that b(x) has a maximum. We prove that the system has a positive ground state solution for all λ ≠ 0 and sufficiently small ε > 0. Moreover, for each λ ≠ 0 we show that uε converges to the positive ground state solution of the associated limit problem and concentrates to a maximum point of b(x) in certain sense as ε → 0. Furthermore, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of positive ground state solutions.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to study the following Schrödinger-Poisson system where λ is a positive parameter, a ∈ C(R3,R+) has a bounded potential well Ω = a−1(0), b ∈ C(R3, R) is allowed to be sign-changing, K ∈ C(R3, R+) and f ∈ C(R, R). Without the monotonicity of f(t)=/|t|3 and the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz type condition, we establish the existence and exponential decay of positive multi-bump solutions of the above system for , and obtain the concentration of a family of solutions as λ →+∞, where is determined by terms of a, b, K and f. Our results improve and generalize the ones obtained by C. O. Alves, M. B. Yang [3] and X. Zhang, S. W. Ma [38].

Abstract:In this paper, we are concerned with the existence, multiplicity and concentration of positive ground state solutions for the semilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system {[ -ε^2Δ u+a(x)u+λϕ(x)u=b(x)f(u)+|u|^4u, x∈ℝ^3,; -ε^2Δϕ=u^2, u∈ H^1(ℝ^3), x∈ℝ^3, ]. where ε > 0 is a small parameter, f is a continuous, superlinear and subcritical nonlinearity, and λ≠0 is a real parameter. Suppose that a ( x ) has at least one global minimum and b ( x ) has at least one global maximum. We prove that there are two families of positive solutions for sufficiently small ε > 0 , of which one is concentrating on the set of minimal points of a and the other on the sets of maximal points of b . Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of positive ground state solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we deal with a class of non-autonomous Schrodinger-Poisson systems involving concave-convex nonlinearities and weight functions. We obtain the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions by a global compactness lemma of Schrodinger-Poisson type and Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory. Moreover, we also conclude that the global maximum point of the solution concentrates on a local minimum point of the weight function.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the following semilinear elliptic equations of the formwhere ε is a small positive parameter, and where f and g denote superlinear and subcritical nonlinearity. Suppose that b(x) has at least one maximum. We prove that the system has a ground-state solution (ψε, φε) for all sufficiently small ε > 0. Moreover, we show that (ψε, φε) converges to the ground-state solution of the associated limit problem and concentrates to a maxima point of b(x) in certain sense, as ε → 0. Furthermore, we obtain sufficient conditions for nonexistence of ground-state solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for singular elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions involving Sobolev-Hardy critical exponents and Hardy terms by using the concentration compactness principle, the strong maximum principle and the Mountain Pass lemma. We also prove, under complementary conditions, that there is no nontrivial solution if the domain is star-shaped with respect to the origin.

Abstract:In this paper, by variational methods, we study the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for a class of generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equations involving a Kirchhoff-type perturbation with critical Sobolev exponent. In particular, the first result is based on the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition. Moreover, the second results are established via the Pohožaev identity. Finally, the last results are not based on the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and we use generalized conditions to prove the results.

Abstract:In this paper we study the existence, multiplicity and concentration behaviour of ground states for a class of quasilinear Schrodinger equations with critical growth. By using a change of variables, the quasilinear equations are reduced to a semilinear one, whose associated functionals are well defined in the usual Sobolev space and satisfy the geometric conditions of the mountain pass theorem. We relate the number of positive solutions with the topology of the set where the potential attains its minimum value. The proofs are based on the Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory and variational methods.
