A dynamic model of knowledge sharing and trust development in collaborative innovation networks

Abstract:Little attention has been paid to the co-evolution of knowledge sharing and trust development, especially the impact of their co-evolution on the development of collaborative innovation networks. We present a dynamic model to describe the interplay between knowledge sharing and trust development in collaborative innovation networks. Our results show that collaborative innovation still fails although the level of trust development or knowledge sharing is rather high in the collapse region of collaborative innovation. And then we outline a strategy for managers that can contribute to knowledge management, trust management and collaborative innovation in collaborative innovation networks. Finally, we outline measures of developing trust and knowledge sharing, expand our model with delay and detect its existence of Hopf bifurcation. © 2013 by Binary Information Press.
