Abstract:Twelve species of the genus Euhybus are now known from Chine, including five species described as new to science: Euhybus basiflavus sp. nov., E. furcatus sp. nov., E. tenuifemur sp. nov., E. wuyishananus sp. nov. and E. yunnanensis sp. nov. All species are provided with diagnoses and distributions. Five new species are also provided with detailed descriptions and color illustrations. A distribution map and an identification key to all Chinese species of Euhybus are also provided.

Abstract:The genus Euhybus has only 6 known species in the Oriental Region, which are distributed in Guangdong and Taiwan of south China and in southern Tibet of southwestern China. Here this genus is reported in Shaanxi Province of Northwest China for the first time. One species, Euhybus qinlingensis sp. nov., is described as new to science. A key to the known species in China is provided.

Abstract:In this study, 21 species of Hybos Meigen, 1803 are reviewed in Huaping National Nature Reserve, China. Among these, three species, i.e., Hybos denticulatus sp. nov. , Hybos forcipata sp. nov. and H. paraterminalis sp. nov. , are described as new to science. In addition, nine known species of this genus are reported for the first time in Guangxi. All the known species were enumerated, and an identification key to the species of Hybos from Huaping National Nature Reserve based on morphological characteristics is provided.

Abstract:The Syneches signatus species-group (Diptera: Empidoidea: Hybotidae) characterized with the flattened abdomen and modified hind leg is a small and unique group in Syneches. Here we report that this species group is newly found in Tibet with 2 species, Syneches bigoti Bezzi and S. nigrescens sp. nov. Syneches bigoti Bezzi is reported from the Chinese mainland for the first time. A key to the known species of this group from Asia is presented.

Abstract:Heleodromia Haliday is recorded from Tibet for the first time with the following three species belonging to the subgenus Heleodromia: Heleodromia (Heleodromia) ausobskyi Wagner, Heleodromia (Heleodromia) basiflava sp. nov. and H. (H.) immaculata Haliday. This finding extends the distribution of Heleodromia in China from Northwest China to Southwest China. A key to the known species of Heleodromia from the Himalayas is presented.
