Abstract:Club drugs or new-type drugs, such as methamphetamine, ecstasy and ketamine, have increased dramatically in many parts of the world as well as China. Club drugs or new-type drugs abuse can not only lead to serious physical and mental disorders, but also contribute problems for society. A growing body of literature have shown that club drug or new-type drug users are at increased risk of engaging in risky sexual behaviors, such as having multiple sex partners, group sex, commercial sex, and so on, which may also increase the risk of HIV/STIs transmission. Although club drugs or new-type drugs penetrated to China not so long ago, their use has increased dramatically in recent years, posing serious challenges for HIV/AIDS epidemic and even national public health safety and national interests that requires urgent attention and more scientific research.
