Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems

Abstract:The symmetrical properties of dynamic and/or differential equations are kind of oscillation properties that allow us to conclude the character of solutions for dynamic equations. In this paper, we obtain some symmetrical properties of solutions to an even-order nonlinear dynamic equations with superlinear and sublinear neutral terms on time scales. Our approach is based on linearizing the considered equation in the sense that we would deduce the properties of the considered equation from that of the linear form and provide new oscillation results via comparing with first order as well as order non-neutral delay dynamic inequalities. The new obtained results outfit a general podium that enables to analyse the oscillatory behaviour for many types of even-order nonlinear dynamic equations. An example is provided to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical outcomes.

New sufficient conditions are established in the noncanonical case. An example is given to support our results.

Abstract:In this paper, the asymptotic stability with probability one of multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) nonlinear oscillators with fractional derivative damping parametrically excited by Gaussian white noises is investigated. A stochastic averaging method and the Khasminskii’s procedure are employed to evaluate the largest Lyapunov exponent, whose sign determines the stability of the system. As an example, two coupled nonlinear oscillators with fractional derivative damping is worked out to demonstrate the proposed procedure and to examine the effect of fractional order on the stochastic stability of system. In particular, the case of factional order more than 1 is studied for the first time.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to develop new iterative oscillation criteria for second‐order half‐linear advanced dynamic equations. These findings improve and extend recently established criteria for the same equation by several authors as well as encompass the existing classical criteria for associated ordinary dynamic equations. Some examples are given to show that the outcomes are accurate, practical, and adaptable.

Abstract:Modified Euler type second order half-linear differential equations are considered and a non-oscillation criterion is derived for them. This criterion is the counterpart of a previously obtained oscillation theorem. Thus, from the main result of this paper, it follows that the studied equations are conditionally oscillatory in a very general case. To prove the non-oscillation criterion, a combination of the Riccati technique and the generalized Prüfer angle is used. Since the criterion is new in many cases (especially, in the linear case), several corollaries are formulated and the novelty is illustrated by an example as well.

Abstract:This study aims to establish novel iterative oscillation criteria for second-order half-linear advanced dynamic equations in non-canonical form. The results extend and enhance recently established criteria for this type of equation by various authors and also encompass the classical criteria for related ordinary differential equations. Our methodology involves transforming the non-canonical equation into its corresponding canonical form. The inherent symmetry of these canonical forms plays a pivotal role in deriving our new criteria. By employing techniques from the theory of symmetric differential equations and utilizing symmetric functions, we establish precise conditions for oscillation. Several illustrative examples highlight the accuracy, applicability, and versatility of our results.

Abstract:This article comes up with criteria to make sure that the solutions to superlinear, half-linear, and noncanonical dynamic equations oscillate in both advanced and delayed cases; these criteria are comparable to the Hille-type and Ohriska-type criteria for the canonical nonlinear dynamic equations; and also these results solve an open problem in many existing works in the literature on dynamic equations. To demonstrate the importance of the results, some examples have been introduced.

Abstract:The neutral delay differential equations have many applications in the natural sciences, technology, and population dynamics. In this paper, we establish several new oscillation criteria for a kind of even-order quasi-linear neutral delay differential equations. Comparing our results with those in the literature, our criteria solve more general delay differential equations with neutral type, and our results expand the range of neutral term coefficient. Some examples are given to illustrate our conclusions.

To do this, we utilize the characteristics of Caputo fractional differentiable functions, the comparison principle, counterfactual reasoning, and the spectral analysis method (concerning the integral presentations of basic solutions). Some numerical examples are also provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed results.

Abstract:This work is devoted to the development of methods for constructing asymptotic formulas as x→∞ of a fundamental system of solutions of linear differential equations generated by a symmetric two-term differential expression of odd order. The coefficients of the differential expression belong to classes of functions that allow oscillation (for example, those that do not satisfy the classical Titchmarsh–Levitan regularity conditions). As a model equation, the fifth-order equation i2p(x)y′′′′′+p(x)y′′′′′+q(x)y=λy, along with various behaviors of coefficients p(x),q(x), is investigated. New asymptotic formulas are obtained for the case when the function h(x)=−1+p−1/2(x)∉L1[1,∞) significantly influences the asymptotics of solutions to the equation. The case when the equation contains a nontrivial bifurcation parameter is studied.

We first find new properties for a class of positive solutions of the studied equation, $ \mathcal{N}_{a} $. As an extension of the approach taken in [ 1 ] , we establish a new criterion that guarantees that $ \mathcal{N}_{a} = \emptyset $. Then, we create a new oscillation criterion.

Abstract:This work seeks to establish new oscillation criteria to analyze the oscillatory characteristics of solutions to a specific class of neutral differential equations featuring distributed delay arguments . These equations, which have numerous applications in the physical and engineering sciences, present intriguing analytical challenges. Utilizing novel monotonic properties, we apply the comparison principle and Riccati substitutions to derive effective oscillation criteria. This approach allows us to remove certain constraints previously imposed on the coefficients of neutral differential equations. Additionally, when utilized in the Euler-type differential equation, the new conditions provide a precise conclusion regarding oscillation. To highlight the novelty and significance of the results, we include examples, remarks, as well as tables and figures for comparison.

Abstract:Abstract The oscillation theory of differential equations is an important branch of performance of differential equations, which is widely used in engineering control, vibration mechanics, mechanics, and industry. Therefore, the vibration performance of different parts has attracted people’s attention, and a lot of research work has been done. For a special class of delay differential equations - advanced piecewise continuous differential equations, the oscillation of numerical solution is discussed. The θ − method is used to discretize the equation, and the numerical method is obtained to keep the oscillation of the analytical solution of the equation, progressive conditions. At the same time, four different states of the dynamic behavior are discussed in detail for the analytical solution and the numerical solution respectively. Some numerical examples further verify the corresponding conclusions.
