Abstract:High power charging equipment is the necessary supporting facilities in the electric vehicle industry, but failure will inevitably occur in the process of equipment use. Through the research on the structure and principle of charging equipment, the influencing factors and causes of equipment failure are analyzed. In this paper, BP neural network algorithm is used to establish the nonlinear relationship between the fault influencing factors and fault causes of the charging equipment with the input and output of the neural network, and the fault diagnosis is carried out for the high-power charging equipment of electric vehicles. Through the simulation, the BP neural network fault diagnosis model has higher fault diagnosis accuracy. The model is applied to the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of high-power charging equipment of electric vehicles, and good diagnosis results are obtained, which has practical application value.

Based on the power electronics, fault diagnosis and network technology, a distributed system with remote fault diagnosis function and high compatibility is presented in the paper. Abstract:Current-carrying fault is one of the most popular faults of power equipments.When carrier fault occurs the contactor's temperature is higher than normal values and lead to serious result.However,the traditional methods can only do simple threshold determination,and failed to effectively extract valuable information and the diagnosis results are always unsatisfactory.To solve the problem,a new intelligent diagnosis method is proposed in this paper.Furthermore the intelligent warning system is designed and developed for power equipment current-carrying fault,and it's working principle,structure and performance are elaborated.

Abstract:This paper presents the development of Multilevel Flow Modeling (MFM)--a modeling method in means-end and part-whole way, for automatic real time fault diagnosis of power plant process failure. The MFM decomposes the complex plant process from the main goal to each component at multiple levels to represent the contribution of each component to the whole system to make clear how the main goal of the system is achieved. The plant process is described abstractly in function level by mass, energy and information flows, which represent the interaction between different components and enable the causal reasoning between functions according to the flow properties. Thus, in the abnormal status, a goal-function-component oriented fault diagnosis can be performed with the model at a very quick speed and abnormal alarms can be fully explained by the reasoning relationship of the model.

Abstract:A mathematic model is established for power electronic circuits on the basis of hybrid system theory. Then, the circuit state that is formed by on-off state of the circuit’s all power electronic switches is expressed to a discrete event. Based on the hybrid model and event identification, a fault diagnosis method and its process for power electronic circuits are put forward. This method possesses good characteristic such as simple realization, high diagnosis correctness and universal application. Its feasibility and validity is verified by fault diagnosis experiments of Buck circuit.

Abstract:The defect detection technology of power equipment based on video image is one of the key technologies to realize intelligent operation and maintenance. It can solve the problems of intelligent identification of external defects in automatic fault diagnosis, active warning and online maintenance of power equipment. Moreover, it is able to reduce the waste of human resources and greatly improve the reliability of system operation and maintenance, thus making up for the shortcomings of traditional protection maintenance mode and providing technical support for the stable operation of power grid. This paper summarizes current typical defect detection algorithms and image processing technology of transmission and transformation equipment based on video images. Additionally, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of traditional image processing methods and deep learning methods in the field of power equipment defect detection. Finally, current algorithm development platforms are summarized, and the future development is predicted.

Abstract:This article presents a novel early warning approach of current-carrying faults of electric equipment based on the deterioration assessment of electric contacts. We propose to detect the temperature diversity among three phases at a certain site by employing the singular entropy analysis to the temperature sequences. Then, power spectrum density is employed to analyze the deterioration and to locate the potential faulty contacts while accomplishing the precaution task. Abstract:The on-board power supply system provides power for the launch vehicle. The power transmission and transformation system plays an irreplaceable role to ensure that the on-board power supply system receives the normal working voltage of the launch vehicle. There are many types of faults in power transmission and transformation systems. The traditional faulty diagnosis method of power transmission and transformation equipment has the disadvantages of being susceptible to experts’ subjectivity and model’s ossification. In this paper, a new method of equipment fault diagnosis based on big data is proposed. On the basis of big data, this paper introduces the failure mode clustering algorithm, the state parameter correlation analysis algorithm, the fault diagnosis method based on the correlation matrix, and other key fault diagnosis technologies. The fault record data of the 400 kV voltage grade oil-immersed transformer bushing in the past ten years by a Chinese combat unit is used as a case for demonstration. The results show that the accuracy rate of SC-LSTM-K-means clustering model exceeds 95%. And the fault classification mode can be accurately obtained. A priori correlation algorithm with TA coefficient can be used to evaluate the strong and weak relationship between the state parameters; the fault diagnosis matrix based on Pearson’s correlation coefficient can accurately determine the fault mode consistent with the actual operation and maintenance test results. Therefore, the fault diagnosis method of power transmission and transformation system based on big data can both effectively obtain the inherent laws of historical data and realize more accurate fault diagnosis with data adaptability.

Abstract:To ensure the power system operates safely and reliably, it is essential to monitor and evaluate the health condition of power equipment on‐line or off‐line. This study reviews the research status in condition monitoring and diagnosis of power equipment, including transformer, gas insulated switchgear, cable, external insulation, generator, and power capacitor in recent years. Although much progress has been made in technologies of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis such as test accuracy, fast and accurate fault localisation and recognition of fault types, there are still many deficiencies which needs further research work, including the reliability of signal collection from sensors, the accuracy of data treatment and analysis, anti‐interference performance of test equipment, appropriate models used for condition evaluation. The prospective of condition monitoring and diagnosis technologies of power equipment are also presented in this study. It is proposed that the application of big data, internet of things and cloud computing should be expected and given special attention in the near future.

Abstract:Building materials machinery equipment play an important role in the production of cement, brick and tile, glass and other building materials, which are high energy consumption industries. Due to advanced sensors, continuous improvement of signal acquisition technologies and increasing data storage space, a large amount of data can be used by scholars, which makes data-based fault diagnosis gradually studied by more and more scholars. With increasing amount of data, new challenges are as follows: there is very little data that can really be used; the research on compound fault diagnosis and weak fault diagnosis is still not mature; the diagnosis accuracy of variable speed components is low. These problems restrict the further development of fault diagnosis. In this paper, the characteristics of fault diagnosis of building materials equipment are first expounded, the principles and characteristics of main building materials equipment, signal classification, sensor selection and error correction are briefly introduced, then the research status are discussed, the existing difficulties and challenges are summarized, and the potential development directions and trends in this field are given.

Abstract:Power electronics main circuit devices are the core part of power electronics circuits, and the fault feature extraction (FFE) of power electronics power devices plays an key role in realization of the diagnostics and prognostics of the power electronics converters, which has very important significance for improving the reliability of power electronics equipment. Firstly, the distribution reliability of power electronics devices is shown in the paper, and the failure mechanism and failure feature of active power switches (MOSFET, IGBT) are analyzed. The FFE of the active power switches are classified into two categories: one is the direct extraction and the other is the indirect extraction. Based on the above, the principles of each FFE of MOSFET and IGBT are introduced, and these methods are summarized. In addition, the advantage and disadvantage of each method are also discussed. At last, the difficulties and trends of the research on FFE of power switch devices are indicated.

Abstract:In this paper, a brief introduction is given to equipment diagnosis engineering, a growing new technical field based on applying information techniques. This paper also describes the mechanical failures caused by surface deteriorating, causes of failure, strategies of failure precaution on surface engineering, and redesign engineering based on diagnosis. It addresses the relationships between surface engineering, remanufacture engineering and equipment diagnosis engineering. Their significant functions are shown in precaution and cure for mechanical failures, while the machines are ensured to play important roles in the aspects of "nature to reliability and functions to standards" and "Bringing back to life and utilizing by recycling". The fascinating prospects of their development and application in 21 century are depicted.

Abstract:With the rapid development of economy and substantial growth of the scale of power network, the safe operation of power system becomes particularly important. While in field of high voltage, hydraulic operating mechanism gradually plays an important role recently. Thus, monitoring and identifying the most common failures to improve the reliability and stability of operating mechanism are of great significance. In this paper, theoretical analysis is carried out for 252kV hydraulic operating mechanism of high voltage circuit breakers and simulation models are established with the software AMESim and Ansoft. The displacement and velocity of the cylinder are verified by experimental results. Then four faults including pressure fluctuations, variation of oil viscosity, fraction stuck and the addition of air content are simulated. With the characteristics of the velocity curves under different conditions, the fault can be directly identified.

Abstract:Mechanical equipments are widely used in various industrial applications. Generally working in severe conditions, mechanical equipments are subjected to progressive deterioration of their state. The mechanical failures account for more than 60% of breakdowns of the system. Therefore, the identification of impending mechanical fault is crucial to prevent the system from malfunction. This paper discusses the most recent progress in the mechanical condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. Excellent work is introduced from the aspects of the fault mechanism research, signal processing and feature extraction, fault reasoning research and equipment development. An overview of some of the existing methods for signal processing and feature extraction is presented. The advantages and disadvantages of these techniques are discussed. The review result suggests that the intelligent information fusion based mechanical fault diagnosis expert system with self-learning and self-updating abilities is the future research trend for the condition monitoring fault diagnosis of mechanical equipments.

Abstract:Power supplies are one important type of electric products. They are widely used in both military and commercial applications. Power supply faults will directly result in system failures. For some critical systems, power supply faults can even cause a catastrophe, leading to great economic loss, casualties, and deterioration of the company's reputation. In this paper, an approach of fault diagnosis was provided for power supply systems. Subsequently, a BIT-based implementation of the design for a switching mode power supply (SMPS) product was presented. Techniques from engineering disciplines including fault tree analysis, system level failure evolution modeling, sensor-based condition monitoring, and built-in test design were applied. After the failure diagnosis system is utilized by the customers in nuclear industry, failures of power supplies at the system level can be quickly and automatically isolated to Line Replaceable Units (LRU) in situ, which improved availability of the power supply system and reduced maintenance and support cost.
