Abstract:R&D capacities of contractors are taken as asymmetric information, R&D outsourcing incentive contract design issues are analyzed by the Stackelberg game model in the coexistence of adverse selection and moral hazard. It is found by the study that in order to stimulate contractors to strive for innovation, a contractee should share output risk with contractors, and the greater uncertainty of outputs caused by external factors, the lower the incentive effect. Screening contractors based on R&D capacity can effectively distinguish R&D capacities of contractors. High-capacity contractors tend to accept screening contracts, while low-capacity contractors tend to accept pooling contracts. Two types of contractors can increase their output sharing proportions by improving their R&D capabilities, and low-capacity contractors vary in R&D capabilities has no effect on output sharing proportions of high-capacity contractors, but when the difference in R&D capability of contractors increases, the output sharing proportion of low-capacity contractors will decrease. In the other conditions being equal, the output sharing proportion of high-capacity contractors is greater than the output sharing proportion of low-capacity contractors. The greater the difference between R&D capabilities of two types of contractors, the greater the difference in output sharing proportions. © right.
