Abstract:Nanosilvers dissolved in saline were injected intravenously by tail vein into mice. The concentration of nanosilvers in blood and organs was detected by the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and the kinetic parameters in blood were evaluated by the drug and statistical software (DAS). The experimental results indicate that the concentration of nanosilvers in blood is dropped rapidly in one hour after injection, and gradually becomes stable in the following 24 h. The elimination half-life in blood is 22.8 h, and the volume of distribution is 26.8 L/kg. After injection, the nanosilvers are quickly distributed to the organs following blood circulation. After 6 h the nanosilver can be detected in the main organs, and the maximum concentration of nanosilvers, about 203 μg/g, is in spleen. The majority of the nanosilvers are accumulated in liver and spleen. Therefore, nanosilvers have good biocompatibility with the tissues. The liver and spleen are the main target organs for nanosilvers.
