Progress in the role of dendritic cells in bronchial asthma

Abstract:Bronchial asthma is an immunological disease that there are a variety of immune cells and inflammatory cytokines involved in the pathogenesis. In the initial and maintenance phase of the immune process,dendritic cells play a key role in allergen identification,uptake and presenting,CD4+ T helper cell differentiation and activation as well as airway hypersensitivity and immune tolerance and so on. The therapy of the disease by intervening the function of dendritic cells has become the hot issue for instructing the clinical medication.
