Abstract:We report herein an nBuLi-mediated, expeditious, ring-opening rearrangement of (arylmethylene)cyclopropane 1,1-diesters to prepare 1,3-diene derivatives with good stereo-selectivity. The reaction mechanism has also been discussed.
