Abstract:The chaotic output-cipher feedback mode(OCFM) stream cipher was developed to resist attacks based on chaotic orbits.The chaotic signals were generated based on iterating the piecewise linear chaotic map(PLCM) with a segment number parameter(SNP).Odd bits were used to produce the key streams.After being incorporated,the even bits and ciphers were fed back as the next state of the key stream generator.When the chaotic systems were realized with finite precision,the perturbation approach was applied to remedy the finite precision effect,and the perturbation signal was m-sequence.Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the OCFM cipher is secure and easy to be realized by hardware or software,and that the encryption speed can be adjusted to meet the application requirement at the algorithm level.

Abstract:Based on security risks for RC4 algorithm,we presented some improvements.The improved algorithm can resist the fault induction attack via adding the self-error detection phase,and resist Knudsen's attack via adding the byte conversion phase.After analyzing the security of the improved algorithm,we proved that the improved algorithm can resist the fault induction attack and Knudsen's attack validly,the security of the RC4 algorithm is hence enhanced.

Abstract:To solve the problem of construction for stream cipher key generator and the problem of SSC/SSSC stream ciphers need to relay on the secret channel to transmit the key, it presents a new clock function drive by a clock-control sequence and chaotic cascade function made of multiple Logistic function, which are used to built the self-reference model and chaotic module;it design a adapt controller independent of the key generator and encrypt module, achieve controlling encryption and transmission process by multi-threaded code;it makes a key generator with transformation ranks and wheel key method of AES and S-box of Camellia, which makes the sub-key and the key generator's internal station become a insufficient condition that does not need to depend on the secret channel, the model achieves a exponential growth in the key space and the same application scope of traditional SSC and SSSC model. The new protocol model features can be seen under the actual operation of modifying RC4 algorithm.

Abstract:When used in application, RC4 cipher technology has some problems, such as weak keys and related key attacks, invariance weakness,,byte bias and so on.This paper presents an improved RC4 cipher technology, which combines the ECC cipher and the RC4 stream cipher.Theemphasis is analyzing the efficiency, the management of keys, and the capability of the improved RC4 cipher.The result indicates that the efficiencyof the improved RC4 is just a litter lower than RC4 stream cipher while the security is much better than RC4.It has good repellency of the currentattacks which aim at RC4 stream cipher.What is more, the improved RC4 cipher has a good way to solve the problems about key management andkey update, which is very significant in application.

Abstract:The stream cipher RC4 was designed by R.Rivest in 1987, and it is a widely deployed cipher. Many predictive states of RC4 for some special indices i were presented in the last 20 years. In this paper, we present several long term predictive states. These states increase the probability to guess part of the internal state in a known plaintext attack and present a cryptanalytic weakness of RC4. This paper also analyzes possible long term bias in the keystream and further propose a search method for the long term predictive states.

Abstract:RC4, designed by Rivest in 1987, is the most widely deployed stream cipher in practical applications. In this paper, two new class of statistical biases inherent in RC4 are depicted and it is shown that the RC4 keystream is distinguishable from random no matter how many initial bytes have been dumped. RC4A, proposed by Paul and Preneel at FSE 2004 to strengthen the security of RC4, is also found to be vulnerable to similar attacks. Instead, a new pseudorandom bit generator RC4B is proposed, which is believed to provide better immunity against the known attacks.

Abstract:In order to ensure the security of the wireless network, Wi-Fi Alliance uses stream cipher algorithm RC4 to encrypt data in the security protocol WEP/WPA. RC4 is a fast algorithm but easy to break. To solve the problem, WPA2 is proposed which uses block cipher algorithm to improve the anti-crack ability of wireless system. AES is time consuming because of its complexity even though it is characterized by high security. To respect the safe and real-time requirements at the same time, we propose a new chaotic encryption algorithm CPRS based on Tent chaotic maps. Chaos is pseudo-random and sensitive to initial parameters which improves the safety of algorithm. Besides, Tent chaotic maps used in the crypto-system is a linear equation which reduces the time of encryption. Then, to quantify the rapidity and security level of the CPRS algorithm, we compare it with the AES algorithm.

Abstract:The shortcomings such as long time programming,poorly understanding to cryptography scheme in traditional experiment teaching methods are demonstrated,and based on analyzing the composing of cryptography algorithms,a new experimental method called algorithm-decomposed experimental method is proposed.This experimental method will divide a complex algorithm into several small and easy algorithms and these algorithm units will be implemented by programming.Students just find the corresponding units and execute them when they verify a cryptography scheme.The teaching practices show that most students can understand the principle of the cryptography algorithm and can complete the experiment on time.

Abstract:This paper proposes an algorithm based on memristive neural network to realize Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) encryption, which effectively releases the correlation between the input key and the output key stream of the RC4 algorithm. At the same time, this design improves both Key Schedule Algorithm (KSA) and Pseudo Random Generation Algorithm (PRGA) of RC4 stream cipher. In the KSA process, a neural network with chaos is constructed by utilizing the non-linearity characteristics of the memristor, and the generated chaotic sequence having good randomness performance, is used as the input key of the RC4 algorithm to realize “one time one secret” dynamic encryption. In the PRGA process, another sequence generated randomly by memristive neural network is used for a dynamic chaotic permutation on the data table of the S-box. Experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm, and show it has larger key space, higher security and stronger robustness than the traditional algorithm.

Abstract:The design and analysis of stream cipher plays an important role in modern cryptology.This paper briefly reviews the basic principle and model of stream cipher analysis,mainly including TMD tradeoff attack,guess-and-determine attack,correlation attack,BAA attack,algebraic attack and side-channel attack.Then simulations of TMD tradeoff attack,guess-and-determine attack and correlation attack are performed by using Mathematical kit software,with results and a part of codes appended.The tests reveal an important design principle:it is critical to avoid the linear evolvement of internal state and eliminate the biased statistical properties of keystream.Finally some conclusions and prospects of stream cipher analysis are provided.

Abstract:With the advancement of technology, convenient communication fills every part of people's lives. However, the data may be stolen during the transmission process. Therefore, this study proposes a method based on the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model using the Rivest Cipher 6 (RC6) algorithm in multiple time-delay chaotic systems. RC6 can be parameterized to support longer key lengths and encryption rounds, and RC6 has excellent computing speed and security. Nevertheless, quantum computers are getting universal. Studies have shown that existing encryption algorithms are unreliable in terms of security. Due to the mighty computing power of quantum computers, various encryption algorithms including RC6 will be cracked in a short period of time. Because chaos has the characteristics of disarray and irregularities, a systematic design combining chaotic synchronization with RC6 is presented to conduct double encryption to prevent attacks. In addition, we employ the improved genetic algorithm (IGA) to seek better fuzzy controller feedback gains than those sought by the genetic algorithm approach as well as the linear matrix inequality approach, and then to accelerate the synchronization. Subsequently, a synthesized fuzzy controller realizes exponential synchronization and achieves the optimal performance at the same time. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by an example with simulations.

Abstract:The security of stream cipher is mainly dependent on the randomness degree of the secret key stream.How to design key stream with perfect randomness turns into the main problem.This paper considers some properties of block ciphers such as DES and RC5,in which there are some favorable nonlinear generating methods.It designs a new algorithm to generate a pseudo-random sequence.The randomness of the sequence is analyzed.The result indicates that the algorithm is safe.

Abstract:The security of stream cipher, which is known as one of the main cipher techniques, dependents completely on the quality of generated pseudo-stochastic sequences. Chaotic systems can produce the pseudo-stochastic sequences with the properties of excessive dependence on initial conditions and the difficulty in forecasting, therefore, these systems are suitable to the stream cipher. A new encryption algorithm is proposed by analyzing the principle of the chaos encryption algorithm based on logistic formula. Moreover, the security and performance of the proposed algorithm is also estimated. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate our method via the Visual C++.
