To analyze nursing research progress in China on articles of five nursing periodicals from 2000 to 2006

Abstract:Objective:To know about the status quo of unfolding nursing scientific research and problems existed in China in recent years.Methods:"Chinese of Journal Nursing","Chinese Nursing Research","Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing","Journal of Nurses Training" and "Journal of Nursing Science" were selected as research objects.And amount of published articles, columns, statistical analysis application state, quantity and endemic distribution of scientific research theses from 2000 to 2006 were analyzed. Results: The amounts published article from 2000 to 2006 were 29 257 pieces. These articles mainly involved in specialty nursing,nursing research, nursing experiences and innovation, nursing management, nursing education and literatures reviews. Theses applied statistical analysis accounted for 41.13%.That was increasing year by year. Scientific topic theses account for 5.93%.The endemic distribution of undertakers of scientific topics was extensive, and Guangdong province was the first. 3.17% of financial support of these scientific topics was from international sources, national level source was 6.06%.Provincial government level, city level, college level, and army sources were 27.34%, 31.95%, 24.34% and 7.15% respectively.Conclusion: The amounts of published articles, theses applied statistical method and scientific research theses of the five nursing journals are increasing year by year. However, supports of national government level and college level still demand to be strengthened.
