Abstract:With the course of the rapid urbanization and commercialization,the exploitation construction problems of Chinese suburban areas are paid close attention.Be aimed at the exploitation construction of QiongLong Mount in the suburban areas of Suzhou,which is a historical and cultural city,at the basis of understanding and cognition with the urban pattern in the Chinese ancient times, then extrat the traditional elements,manifestations and features,union the spot status of QiongLong Mount,history and background of the times,etc.make the tradition elements be developed in modernized space,finally realize the history and culture of city to last,reflect the Geographical characteristics of water town, and display the scene which stretched from flourishing ancient city centre to the entertainment area in suburban areas,which is one kind of Chinese styles which are created with the exploitation construction of Chinese suburban areas.

Abstract:The multiple development of contemporary economy, politics and culture has led to the multiplicity of architecture forms throughout the world. Innovation and application of architecture techniques has resulted in the similarity of architecture styles and unity of architecture culture; developed, less-developed and developing countries are all entitled modern architecture. Actually, from the global perspective, the integration of Eastern and Western architecture culture, advantaged culture, disadvantaged culture, together with the age of new technology, have formed a large-span concept of time and space. In response to the reality, what we need now is the new architecture both keeping the tradition and presenting contemporary spirit. Although China started late, it will, in the near future, create a new architecture culture in all areas. Such a new culture is the local, cultural, and modern architecture form. It is new in that new technique, material, structure, work is applied without abandoning traditional material, work and local technique. We can have a new way of creativity and our architecture culture will also become a great part in the world architecture culture. It is necessary to notice that the basis of multiple creation is a mutualism among different cultures and mutual respect, study and development are a reference, an integration, an environment design and also a revival of ecology.

Abstract:"Zhonghe", is an important category in Chinese traditional culture, and has vivid ethical characteristics and meanings in the world. Therefore, it has an important value to create the modern architectures with the Chinese characteristics. This paper considers that the main characteristics that "Zhonghe" applied in modern architectures would be "unity of contradiction", "group", "great manner" and "moderation and elegant". In the end, this expression is discussed in this paper.

Abstract:Focusing on the connections between three influential Western architects and Katsura Imperial Villa,this paper examines the historical relationship between Katsura and the development of modern architecture.It also explicates the biases of modernism and architects'subjectivity within the interpretations of Katsura,and Katsura's influence on contemporary Japanese and Western architecture.In conclusion,this study offers insights for critical architectural strategies on several levels:a dialectical interpretation of tradition,a selective recognition of Western value system,and the cultural recreation from a local perspective.

Abstract:Based on more than ten thousands kilometers field trip and the literature review of recently decades, the author tries to systemically explain the geographical characteristics and connotations of Chinese traditional architectural culture in geographical language. The conclusion is as follows: Chinese traditional architectural cultures are distributed in different areas in terms of diverse human representations which are comprised of material, psychic and physical elements. It is the regional representation of traditional architectural culture mode and it owns the internal logical connection with geographical factors as well. The changing of the multiplex systems of geographical factors will lead the corresponding diversity of architectural culture characteristics between nations, regions and communities and even within the community. Actually, the forming, evolvement and pervasion of Chinese traditional architectural culture modes were affected and facilitated by both the gradual changing of the community economic basis of Huanhe and Yangzi basins and the western culture as well.

Abstract:In the present study, we express the quality, function, and characteristics of architecture to help people comprehensively understand what architecture is. We also reveal the problems and conflict found in population, land, water resources, pollution, energy, and the organization systems in construction. China's economy is transforming. We should focus on the cities, architectural environment, energy conservation, emission-reduction, and low-carbon output that will result in successful green development. We should macroscopically and microscopically analyze the development, from the natural environment to the artificial environment; from the relationship between human beings and nature to the combination of social ecology in cities, and farmlands. We must learn to develop and control them harmoniously and scientifically to provide a foundation for the methods used in architecture research.

Abstract:This paper explores a previously unrecorded style of East-West architectural ornamentation in Tengchong, Yunnan Province, China, overlooked in historical architectural studies. The aim of this research is to both document and analyze this unique blend of Eastern and Western architectural elements, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Initially, literary research identifies relevant sites, which are subsequently examined through field research to collect firsthand data on the local architectural decorations that exhibit this East-West synthesis. Employing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates concepts from biology and statistics, the study views these architectural decorations as a living organism. This perspective allows for a detailed examination of how different cultural elements are incorporated into local architecture, analyzed quantitatively and statistically. Through this research, a qualitative description of these hybrid architectural elements is developed, further enriched by a quantitative analysis based on statistical methods. The qualitative aspect of the study traces the historical evolution of this East-West architectural form, observing changes in themes and structures. In terms of quantitative findings, a detailed statistical profile of these local architectural features is established, which supports the qualitative insights. Overall, this research sheds light on a neglected aspect of architectural ornamentation, presenting a thorough analysis of its development and current state through an innovative mix of qualitative and quantitative research techniques. This study not only provides new data but also opens up fresh avenues for future research on similar topics.
