Abstract:The highly conjugated title compound, C23H25Cl2N3, is nearly planar (the mean deviation from the plane being 0.049 angstrom), except for the -C(CH3)(2) group on the cyclohexene ring and the two CH2Cl groups. The cyclohexene ring has an envelope configuration. In the crystal, the packing is stabilized by C-H center dot center dot center dot Cl interactions and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions involving the benzene ring.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:In the mol-ecular structure of the title compound, C25H21NO4·CHCl3, the indole-quinone unit is essentially planar and the cyclo-hexen-1-one ring is in an envelope conformation. The dihedral angle between the indole and methoxy-phenyl groups is 81.78 (8)°. The mol-ecules are linked via weak inter-molecular C - H⋯O inter-actions to form dimers and these dimers are stacked approximately down the b axis.
