Abstract:Aim: To summarize the results of 300 patients with primary liver cancer treated by hepatectomy. Methods: The clinical data of 300 cases of primary liver cancer which received hepatectomy were analyzed. Results: There were 8 deaths within one month after operation.the operative mortality was 2.7%.The 1,3,5,10-year survival rates of the patients were 58.2%,26.7%,17.2%,10.8% respectively. The 1,3,5-year survival rates of the patients whose cancer diameter was less than 5 cm were 87.0%,54.5%,(34.3%) respectively, there was no death post-operatively in 34 cases who received a second stage hepatectomy. The 1,3,5-year survival rates of these patients were 85.3%,70.0%,58.3% respectively. The difference of the 1-year 3-year 5-year survival rates were not statistically significant(P0.05)between regular hepatectomy and irregular hepatectomy. The difference of the volume of the bleeding were statistically significant(P0.05)between liver resection utilizing microwave coagulation and other methods of control of bleeding. Conclusion: Rule liver resection of huge liver cancer is safe and the results are satisfactory;liver resection utilizing microwave coagulation can reduce the volume of the bleeding at operation;the second stage resection can improve the total curative effect.
