How Is The Consciousness Related To Neural Networks

Abstract:Intelligence is the major theme in the study of neural networks discipline, both artificial and biological, whereas consciousness has been a fundamental kernel of intelligence. To better understand the essence of intelligence, it is necessary to make a deep investigation into the general mechanism of consciousness emerging. An interesting discovery at RCI center shows that the mechanism of consciousness formation is just the one of comprehensive information formation while the formation procedure through which the consciousness emerged is just a kind of neural network learning process. Based on the discovery, a suggestion is thus brought about to neural network researchers who have the interest to be involved themselves in the research of consciousness that between the consciousness and neural network, there should be something important to which attention should be paid. This is the so-called comprehensive information.
