Abstract:The concept and the general method of reverse engineering(RE)in modern manufacturing and the RE function module of CATIA are introduced.Taking the injection mould of car meter tray as an example,the design processes of injection mould with CATIA,including filtering of point cloud,mesh creation,mesh repair,scan creation,surface quality analysis,and constructing CAD model are explained.
