Diagnostic value of 64 slice spiral CT in renal space occupying lesions

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the CT features and differential diagnosis of different types of renal masses.Method:CT images of 35 cases of renal masses confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.The location,the longest diameter,the extent and extent of the lesions were observed.Result:Malignant (25 cases):clear cell carcinoma(15 cases),9 cases of left kidney,6 cases of right kidney,the longest diameter of 3.2-13.0 cm,15 cases of cystic necrosis,7 cases of hemorrhage,5 cases with calcification,13 cases showed a typical "Kuaijinkuaichu",2 cases of medullary enhancement reached the peak delay,loss;papillary cell carcinoma(5 cases),5 cases of right kidney.Long diameter was 1.8 9.0 cm.Four cases of necrosis,3 cases of delayed enhancement in 1 case,1 case of medullary phase enhanced significantly;the "Kuaijinkuaichu";chromophobe cell carcinoma(1 case),1 case of left kidney,10.7 cm diame ter,1 case of cystic necrosis,mild enhancement,the peak in the medulla;TFE-3 associated renal cell carcinoma(1 case):the right kidney in 1 case,1 case of 4.4 cm diameter,calcification,mild enhancement,medulla peak period;nephroblastoma(2 cases),1 case of left kidney,1 case of right kidney,8.3-9.5 cm diameter,2 cases of moderate necrosis,delayed enhancement;clear cell sarcoma(1 case),1 case of right kidney,long diameter 3.7cm,1 case of necrosis,"Kuaijinkuaichu" enhancement.Renal benign lesions(10 cases)CT:angiomyolipoma(5 cases),5 cases of right kidney,length and diameter of about 1.7 20.0 cm,5 cases of fat necrosis of 2 cases,1 case of moderate calcification,uneven enhancement;epithelioid angiomyolipoma(2 cases),2 cases of right kidney,long diameter about 10.0 cm and 3.0 cm,2 cases of necrosis,1 case of hemorrhage,1 case of calcification;eosinophilic adenoma(1 case),1 case of right kidney,4.9 cm diameter,1 case of calcification,obvious delayed enhancement,showed stellate scar;mature teratoma(1 case),1 case of left kidney,long diameter 13.0 cm,found in bone,soft tissue and fat;renal tuberculosis(1 case):right renal atrophy,renal pelvis seeper expansion is "petals" change,ureteral wall thickening,diffuse uniform coarse,enhanced uniform enhancement.Conclusion:Different renal masses have different imaging features,especially the enhancement mode,which is important for differential diagnosis.Some atypical lesions are difficult to diagnose.
