Abstract:Graphite oxide is a layered material consisting of hydrophilic oxygenated graphene bearing oxygen functional groups on their basal planes and edges.In this paper,the graphene oxide bearing with-SO3H,-COOH and-OH was prepared by the modified Hummers method and characterized,and which was used as a catalyst for the first time for the hydrolyzation of soybean isoflavone glycosides.Experimental results show that the graphene oxide has good catalytic activity for the hydrolyzation reactions.The optimal reaction temperature of the catalytic reaction is 105 ℃,at which the conversions of three kinds of isoflavone glycosides are 94.3%,92.1%,and 88.8%,and the yields of the corresponding aglycones are 69.6%,60.6%,and 58.8%,respectively.Comparing with other commercial solid acid catalysts,such as zeolite HZSM-5 and macroporous resin NKA-9,the catalytic activity of the prepared graphene oxide is remarkably higher,which is similar to that of 0.02 mol?L?1 sulfuric acid.

Abstract:A new kind of effervescent tablet solid drinks is prepared by non-aqueous granulation using the microencapsulated crude extraction of sprout soybean peptide as the main ingredient.The product formula is designed and optimized through single factor experiments,an orthogonal test and a sensory evaluation based on the fuzzy mathematics method.The optimal formula of effervescent tablets is determined as follows:3% of PVP anhydrous ethanol solution is used as the adhesive;microencapsulated sprout soybean peptides accounts for 10%;disintegrating agent is composed of 47% of citric acid and 33% of sodium bicarbonate,and accounts for 80%:composite sweetener is consisted of 1% sucralose and 1% steviathe,and the addition of flavor agents is 0.2%.The newly developed effervescent tablets obtained in this paper are easy to carry,have a good taste,and are nutritious as well as effective on promoting health.
Preparation of High Purity Soybean Isoflavone Aglycones from SPC Milk Serum

Abstract:SPC milk serum was selected as material raw because for its low price and pollution to environment.High purity soybean isoflavone aglycones was separated and purified by the following technology: soluble protein was deposited by adjusting pH to 4.50 and adding CaCl_(2)solution;milk serum was decolored by active carbon and desalted by ion-exchange resins;after purified by non-polar macroporous resins HPD-100 and hydrolyzed by HCl,high purity isoflavone glycogens was obtained.Through analysis with HPLC and other methods,the purity of total isoflavones is(58.4±2.5)%(w/w);the recovery rate is(78.3±2.6)%;the relatively percentage content of isoflavone aglycones≥95%(w/w). Genistein and Daidzein are the main components with the percentage content(23.4±0.8)% and(31.2±0.9)% respectively,and Glycitein is the minor component that we can ignore.Purity and value added of product is high,not only overcome some lacks of current extraction technology such as high cost of material raw,trivial pre-treatment and low purity of product,but also make full use of the waste.The technology has favourable application merit and market outlook.

Abstract:Soybeans and their food products exist in the market in various forms, ranging from crude oils and bean meals to nutritious products (e.g. soy milk powers). With the availability of technologies for mass production of soy products and for enrichment of soy components (e.g. phospholipids, saponins, isoflavones, oligosaccharides and edible fiber), the nutritional values of soy products have been enhanced remarkably, offering the potential for functional food development. Among different bioactive components in soybeans, one important component is isoflavones, which have been widely exploited for health implications. While there are studies supporting the health benefits of isoflavones, concerns on adverse effects have been raised in the literature. The objective of this article is to review the recent understanding of the biological activities, adverse effects, and use of isoflavones in functional food development.

Abstract:Using wet granulation tabletting method, a kind of inulin chewable tablets was made according to optimizing the formula. The result showed that the quality of inulin chewable tablets was greatly affected by the concentration of ethanol and the dosage of several materials in the prescription. When the addition amount of ethanol was 2 mL/10 g and the formula of inulin chewable tablets was 2%mannitol , 1.5%magnesium stearate and 0.5 % citric acid, a kind of inulin chewable tablets with good taste, special flavor of inulin, smooth surface, identical color, good hardness, good disintegrability, good chewablity could be made.

Abstract:The soy isoflavone molecularly imprint polymer microspheres was synthesized by precipitation polymerization in order to develop a new way of soy isoflavone enrichment and separation.Methods using soy isoflavone that the total contents of genistin and daidzin in soy isoflavone were 89.2 percents were used as template molecular,4-vinyl pyridine(4-VP)were used as the functional monomer,ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA)were used as the cross-linking agent,azodiisobutyronitrile(AIBN)were used as initiator.The characteristics of soy isoflavone class-specific molecularly imprint polymer microspheres were evaluated by means of static and dynamic adsorption experiments,also by class-specific selective experiments,structure and shape characterization research method.UV spectromertry was employed to demonstrate the mechanism of the interaction between template molecular and four kinds of functional monomers.The results showed that the 4-VP interacted powerfully with the template molecular and the interaction effect was best when the mole ratio was 1:6 between the template molecular and the 4-VP.The static adsorption experiments results showed that MIP had a good specific adsorption effect compared with NIP.The dynamic adsorption experiments results showed that the polymer microspheres would reach to saturated adsorption in 5h.The class-specific selective experiments results showed that MIP had a good class-specific selective effect and also a high absorption to various components of soy isoflavone.This molecularly imprint polymer microspheres are expected to be further research and application in the further in enriching,separating and checking the soy isoflavones.
Optimization of Ultrasonic-assisted Extraction of Soybean Isoflavones by Response Surface Methodology and Simultaneous Preparation of Protein Isolates and Oligosaccharides

Abstract:An effective and green strategy was developed to obtain isoflavones from soybean.Soy protein isolates and oligosaccharides were also obtained from soybean dregs simultaneously.Firstly,the optimal extraction conditions were investigated by single factor experiments and RSM optimization.A high extraction amount(2 104.25 μg·g-1)and yield(85.34%)of isoflavones were achieved under the optimal extraction conditions:ultrasonic power of 250 W,70% ethanol,70℃,120 min.Secondly,the purified isoflavones of 1 838.00 μg·g-1 was obtained with purity of 62.09% and recovery of 74.54% via three simple purification steps.Finally,the amount of soy protein isolates and oligosaccharides obtained from soybean dregs achieved 216.25 mg·g-1 and 73.75 mg·g-1,respectively.There is no waste liquid and solid generated from the whole process.The soybean could be utilized comprehensively through this strategy.

Abstract:Isoflavones in the soybean plumula has been extracted by hot water, studies show this technology is convenient and feasible, and the extraction efficiency and purity can satisfy the experiment requirement; HPLC is also used to identify the components of isoflavones in the extraction solution. After refined by macroporous and extracted by ethyl acetate three times, the purity of soybean isoflavones exceeds 60%.

Abstract:Abstract Background: Soybean meal is used in animal feeds as a protein supplement but contains significant amounts of anti-nutritional factors such as trypsin inhibitor that directly inhibit digestion, absorption and utilization of nutrients. Results: Herein, we used solid state batch fermentation of soybean meal using Lactobacillus plantarum, Bacillus subtilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae alone and in combination to alter the content of anti-nutritional compounds in the meal. A systematic analysis identified a temperature of 40°C, water content of 40 % in a 48 h fermentation that optimized the fermentation according to our goals. The digestibility of the meal increased within 36 h and by 48 h, the free amino acid content increased while glycinin, β-conglycinin and trypsin inhibitor significantly decreased and the indigestible sugars stachyose and raffinose were reduced to undetectable levels. These processes correlated with high levels of lactic acid that were responsible for an overall pH decrease. Conclusions: Bacterial and mixed fermentations increased nutritional content while eliminating anti-nutritional factors and significantly improved the nutritional quality of the soybean meal.
[Research on preparation of Shandantong sustained-release tablets]

Abstract:Objective: To optimize the preparation of Shandantong sustained-release tablets. Methods: We used the orthogonal experiment to optimize the preparation and determined the contents of Shanzha total flavonoids and tanshinone. Involved technology and hydrophilicity skeleton materials were adopted to prepare the sustained-release tablets. Results: The best extracted progress of Shanzha total flavonoids and tanshinone were A2B2C1 and A3B1C2, respectively. The hydrophilicity skeleton materials were gel HPMC and acrylic resin. Conclusions: The concentration of alcohol and percolated speed are significant factors on the extracted efficacy by analysis of variance. The preparation and prescription of this sustained-release tablet is reasonable.

Abstract:Objective To establish the prescription and preparation method of Linzhinongsuo Pills. Methods The Linzhinongsuo Pills were prepared by plastic molded method. The preparation process of the pills was determined by the indexes such as the ease of making pills, properties of pills, drying time, quality of pills, disintegration time limited and moisture content, and the pills were tested according to the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Results The ratio of germination-activating sporoderm-broken ganoderma spores ( GSGS ) and flow extract of Ganoderma lucidum ( or Ganodelma sinense ) was 1:2, and the pills were polished after drying 5 h at 60 ℃ in drying oven, and then the pills were dried for 1 h at 60 ℃. The prepared Linzhinongsuo Pills had good pellets and smooth surface, the water content and disintegration time limited were in accordance with the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Conclusion The preparation process of Linzhinongsuo Pills by plastic molded method was simple , which is suitable for industri al production.

Abstract:Soy is a growing protein source; however, the isoflavones it contains are of concern, as they exhibit estrogenic activities whose toxicological limits might be exceeded. Reducing their concentrations to safe levels while preserving nutritional quality in soy foodstuffs is therefore a matter of public health. The main objective of this paper is to develop at pilot scale a process for isoflavones' extraction from soybeans, and to show its feasibility and efficiency. The study was conducted by first optimizing the previously obtained laboratory treatment key factors. These data were then transposed to the pilot level. Finally, the process was adjusted to technical constraints which appeared at pilot scale: the mandatory use of drenching and the exploration of granulometry analysis. The involved steps were validated by monitoring the genistein and daidzein content variations through statistical analysis of the data of an ELISA and a Folin-Ciocalteu assay. Additionally, isoflavones' recovery from treatment waters for their valorisation and the water cleaning by means of filtration, centrifugation and resin adsorption were carried out. The results showed that the most successful pilot treatment developed involved soybean dehulling, drenching, washing and drying and almost halved isoflavones while preserving the main nutritional characteristics. A combination of techniques led to almost complete recovery of isoflavones from process waters.
RESEARCH ON PREPARATION OF ALPHA-LINOLENIC ACID ETHYL ESTER MICROCAPSULE WITH SOY PROTEIN ISOLATE AS WALL MATERIAL

Abstract:The preparation process of alpha-linolenic acid ethyl ester microcapsule was optimized by response surface methodology based on single factor experiments by using soy protein isolate as wall material and alpha-linolenic acid ethyl ester as core material. Selecting factors and levels,we determined the influences of each factor by regression analysis,and constructed response surface and contours by taking the microcapsule embedding rate as the response value. The optimum microencapsulation conditions were determined as follows after analyzing the significance of each factor as well as their interaction effect: solid content 10%,core-to-wall ratio 1:2,and spray drying inlet temperature 168 ℃. Under the optimum conditions,the embedding rate of alpha-linolenic acid ethyl ester microcapsule was 52.62%.

Abstract:Objective To determine the optimum conditions for enrichment of soybean isoflavones in germinated soybean and analyze its composing characteristics.Methods The content of soybean isoflavones was determined by UV spectrophotometry.After the suitable length of germinated soybean was fixed,in order to determine the optimal enrichment conditions,the effects of soaking time,culture temperature and humidity on the content of soybean isoflavones were researched by a L_9(3~4) orthogonal test.Then the composing characteristics of isoflavones in germinated soybean obtained under the optimal enrichment conditions were analyzed by HPLC method.Results The optimal enrichment conditions of soybean isoflavones were identified as soaking time of 16 h,culture temperature of 25℃,culture humidity of 90%when the length of germinated soybean was 30mm.Under these conditions,the isoflavones primarily consisted of three monomers which were genistein,daidzein and glycitein.Conclusion The optimization of culture conditions of germinated soybean can enrich isoflavones,especially increasing the contents of function factors such as genistein and daidzein,which provides some theoretical guidance for the further development of functional,isoflavone-rich soybean food.
Preparation of a Low-fat and High-protein Soy Milk

Abstract:Using soybean meal, the by-product of grain and oil industry, as the main raw material, the soy milk with low fat and high content protein was produced. Results showed that the best ratio of soybean meal to water, white sugar content, hexametaphosphate content, dextrin content, mixed emulsifier KHN-9993 content, soybean oil content were 1:10.0, 5%, 0.05%, 3%, 0.25%, and 0.5%, respectively. And the optimum homogenization power, times and temperature were 30MPa, 2 and 83℃, respectively. The best sterilization temperature and time were 121 ℃, and 15min, respectively. Under those conditions, the soy milk was achieved with low-cost, stability and quality.

Abstract:Glyceollins, stress-induced phytoalexins from parent soya bean isoflavones, were elicited with Aspergillus oryzae. This solid-state fermentation facilitated the conversion of isoflavone glycosides into aglycones and glyceollins, which could mainly enrich in soya bean protein isolate (SPI) during protein preparation due to protein-polyphenol interactions. Glyceollin-enriched SPI exhibited less flavour volatiles, higher solubility, lower whiteness and higher antioxidant activity than unfermented SPI. Fermented SPI was more easily to be digested during invitro pepsin-trypsin digestion. This may be attributed to partial degradation of protein, especially alpha' and alpha subunits of beta-conglycinin and acidic subunit of glycinin. The antioxidant activity of digestive products derived from fermented SPI was obviously enhanced with increasing digestion time due to simultaneous release of antioxidant peptides and glyceollins involved in the interior of protein molecule. These results suggest an effective technique for producing a nutrient-enhanced SPI as novel functional ingredients applied in food industry.

Abstract:The method to extract soybean isoflavone by ultrasonic wave was optimized,the content of which was determined by three-wave length UV spectrohotometry,in order to develop a high performance extraction-determination method of isoflavones in soybean.Results showed that the optimized condition were as follows: the ratio of material to solvent was 1∶20,concentration of ethanol was 50%,extraction time was 30 min,with 2 replicates.Twenty-four soybean varieties was mesured,their contents varied significantly.The content of soybean isoflavones was highest in Jilin 32 and Jilin 35,0.292% and 0.259%,respectively.

Abstract:SummaryA fermented soya milk (FSM) enriched with isoflavone aglycone (FSM‐SPIA) was prepared from heated soya protein isolate (SPI)‐isoflavone complex. After 48 h of fermentation, FSM‐SPIA contained higher contents of living bacteria, free amino acids and aglycone compared with the FSM of SPI (FSM‐SPI) and the FSM of SPI‐isoflavone complex (FSM‐Mix). In the in‐vitro digestion experiment, FSM‐SPIA showed higher antioxidant capacity and isoflavones (ISO) bioavailability than FSM‐SPI and FSM‐Mix. This was likely due to the soya milk containing a higher level of amino acid, peptides and the presence of soya bean isoflavone. The improved protein digestibility, the interaction and binding ability between proteins and ISO may affect the properties of the protein and the fermented products. The FSM enriched with isoflavone aglycone can be used as a functional fermented drink, as well as an auxiliary food for menopausal women during a specific pathological period.
