Effects of Soil Age on Macro Element Mobilization of Basalt Derived Soils in Leizhou Area

Abstract:We studied the effect of soil age on the weathering and soil forming processes of the chronosequential soils derived from basalts in Leiqiong area.The result showed that easy dissolving elements mobiled faster in profiles formed earlier,reflecting mobilization accumulation;in profiles formed late,mobilization changed obviously with the increase of the soil age.The effect of soil age on the macro-element mobilization was significant at the earlier stage but then weakened significantly when pedogenesis to a certain degree.
