Abstract:Since 1980s,the scientists have realized that the properties of the materials will be greatly changed if the sizes are in the range of mesoscopic scale. Many novel properties are beyond traditional theories when the materials are nanosized. All these may reasonably make nanomaterials become the representative of modern science and technology and the potential research hot. The noble metal nanomaterials have become one of the most active branches in nanomaterials area because of their distinct catalytic,electronic,magnetic,and luminescent properties. In this paper,the preparation methods and the applications of the noble metal nanomaterials are reviewed. In addition,the prospect is made.

Abstract:Noble metal nanomaterials are a kind of special nanomaterials with unique optical, electrical, and catalytic properties. The noble metal-based nanozymes are a new research frontier of noble metal nanomaterials in biomedical field. Noble metal-based nanozymes possess good stability, controllable enzyme-like activity, multiple enzyme-like activities, and excellent biocompatibility and hold great potential in biomedical applications. In this review, we summarized the enzyme mimic types, enzyme catalytic mechanisms, activity regulation, and potential biomedical applications of noble metal-based nanozymes.

Abstract:Nanomaterials are materials in which at least one of the dimensions of the particles is 100 nm and below.There are many types of nanomaterials, but noble metal nanoparticles are of interest due to their uniquely large surface-to-volume ratio, high surface area, optical and electronic properties, high stability,easy synthesis, and tunable surface functionalization.More importantly, noble metal nanoparticles are known to have excellent compatibility with bio-materials, which is why they are widely used in biological applications.The synthesis method of noble metal nanoparticles conventionally involves the reduction of the noble metal salt precursor by toxic reaction agents such as NaBH 4 , hydrazine, and formaldehyde.This is a major drawback for researchers involved in biological application researches.Hence, the bio-synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles(NPs) by bio-materials via bio-reduction provides an alternative method to synthesize noble metal nanoparticles which are potentially non-toxic and safer for biological application.In this review, the bio-synthesis of noble metal nanoparticle including gold nanoparticle(AuNPs), silver nanoparticle(AgNPs), platinum nanoparticle(PtNPs), and palladium nanoparticle(PdNPs) are first discussed.This is followed by a discussion of these biosynthesized noble metal in biological applications including antimicrobial, wound healing, anticancer drug, and bioimaging.Based on these, it can be concluded that the study on bio-synthesized noble metal nanoparticles will expand further involving bio-reduction by unexplored bio-materials.However, many questions remain on the feasibility of bio-synthesized noble metal nanoparticles to replace existing methods on various biological applications.Nevertheless, the current development of the biological application by bio-synthesized noble metal NPs is still intensively ongoing, and will eventually reach the goal of full commercialization.

Abstract:Nanomaterials with unique physical and chemical properties have attracted extensive attention of scientific research and will play an increasingly important role in the future development of science and technology. With the gradual deepening of research, noble metal nanomaterials have been applied in the fields of new energy materials, photoelectric information storage, and nano-enhanced catalysis due to their unique optical, electrical and catalytic properties. Nanostructured materials formed by noble metal elements (Au, Ag, etc.) exhibit remarkable photoelectric properties, good stability and low biotoxicity, which received extensive attention in chemical and biological sensing field and achieved significant research progress. In this paper, the research on the synthesis, modification and sensing application of the existing noble metal nanomaterials is reviewed in detail, which provides a theoretical guidance for further research on the functional properties of such nanostructured materials and their applications of other nanofields.

Abstract:Engineered noble metal nanomaterials (NMN) possess adjustable optical, electrical, and biocompatible properties that make them excellent tools for probing the nano-bio-interface. Understanding their interactions with biomolecules, cells, and tissues at the nano-bio-interface is crucial in designing these nanomaterials for biomedical applications. This review summarizes the structure, properties, synthesis, and passivation methods of noble metal nanoparticles, as well as the construction strategy and detection technology of the nano-bio-interface to provide important information about their uptake, distribution, metabolism, and degradation in vivo and in vitro. The related action mechanisms include the kinetic and thermodynamic processes of the nano-bio-interface, the driving forces for its formation, and the chemical reactions at the nano-bio-interface. By exploring the action mechanism of the nano-bio-interface, the antibacterial properties and cytotoxicity of NMN could be better understood, and open up more extensive biological applications. Finally, the future trends of NMNs in the biological field and the challenges encountered in realizing these technologies are discussed.

Abstract:Metal nanoparticles have been widely applied in many fields , including materials , catalysis , medicine , environment , etc. Furthermore , nanoparticles from noble metal , such as gold , silver , platinum , palladium, possess the ability of increasing the efficiency of catalytic reaction. Therefore, the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles by microorganisms has attracted the attention of many researchers. Although traditional physical and chemical methods can synthesize nanoparticles efficiently and controllably , these methods are complicated and expensive, in addition to the wide use of hazardous chemicals. Therefore, exploring energy-saving , environmentally friendly and sustainable green synthesis method for synthesizing nano-materials is continuously attracting interests in this field. The microbial synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles conforms to the requirements of green synthesis technology, and researches have shown that many microorganisms can convert metal ions into nano-materials. Besides, microorganisms can be grown in mild condition cheaply and fast, so microbial synthesis has been widely concerned in the field of nanometer research. This review summarizes progress of microbial synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles , including the possible synthesis mechanisms and the control of size and shape. Meanwhile, the specific applications of microbial sourced nanoparticles in medicine, catalysis, biosensing and environment are discussed, and the future development of microbial nanomaterials synthesis is further prospected.

Abstract:: Noble metals are widely used in many fields, particularly in catalysis, due to their unique physical and chemical properties. However, their large-scale applications are limited, due to the high price, low reserves, easy agglomeration and the sintering of single component. The above problems can be effectively solved by constructing metal alloy nanocrystals and cerium oxide supported noble metal catalysts. In this review, we will summarize recent progress on the controlled synthesis and catalytic performances of noble metals/cerium oxide nanocatalysts. In detail, mainly based on our group’s work, we present the controlled synthetic approaches, the relationship between the structures and properties, and the catalytic applications of those catalysts with specific shapes and nanostructures. Finally, the future developments and challenges of the cutting-edge research on noble metal-based catalysts are prospected.

Abstract:In comparison with natural enzymes, nanozymes show many advantages such as high stability, ease to mass production and tunable enzymatic properties and possess great potentials for application in detection and biosensing fields. Especially, noble metal based nanozymes usually exhibit superior catalytic activity and stability. The achievements in precisely synthesizing noble metal -based nanomaterials at atomic levels enable investigation of interaction mechanisms between structures and enzymatic performances. In this review, the development of noble metal based nanozymes were sumarized, including noble metal nanocrystals and noble metal based single -atom nanozymes. The preparation strategies, regulation methods of enzymatic properties and underlying mechanisms were mainly discussed. The applications for detection and biosensing were also elucidated. At last, the challenges and prospects of this area were briefly discussed.

Abstract:As a promising candidate for future catalytic applications, the noble metal–ZnO nanocomposites are gaining increasing interest due its high catalytic property, and super stability. In this review, the noble metal–ZnO nanocomposites with various composites and structures for catalytic applications will be discussed. We introduce the multi-catalytic properties and design concept of the noble metal–ZnO nanocomposites, and then particular highlight key finding of synthesis method for various noble metal–ZnO nanocomposites. The catalytic activity of noble metal–ZnO nanostructures has been found to rely on not only the species of noble metal but also the architecture of the catalyst material. Moreover, the typical works of modification on noble metal–ZnO nanostructures have been introduced. Critically, the challenges for future research development and our future perspectives are presented.

Abstract:Noble metal-based nanomaterials have attracted tremendous attention in biomedical applications due to their unique electrical, optical, and chemical properties, playing crucial roles in the ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers, bioimaging, cancer therapy, etc. Especially, porous noble metal-based nanomaterials show superior performance due to the large specific area and multiple active sites. Platforms constructed from porous noble metal-based nanomaterials are emerging as highly promising tools for various biomedical applications. Herein, the properties and synthesis strategies of porous noble metal-based nanomaterials are briefly introduced. Then the recent progress of porous noble metal-based nanomaterials in the biomedical field is highlighted, focusing primarily on their applications in optics, electrochemistry, and mass spectrometry. Finally, the challenges related to fabrication and biocompatibility for their applications while also providing an outlook on their widespread use in clinical situations are discussed. This review aims to provide further insights into the design of porous noble metal-based nanomaterials and expand their applications in the biomedical field. Thus, the controlled growth of noble metal crystals would help to tailor their unique properties and this would be followed by their practical application. Abstract:Silver nanoparticles is synthesized by screened microorganism presented in this paper. The size of silver nanoparticles is observed mainly between 2-8 nm. Silver catalyst and palladium catalyst are prepared with bioreduction imported, and then they are applied for oxidation of 1,2-propylene glycol, oxidation of carbon monoxide and anthraquinone hydrogenation, respectively.
