Synthesis and Crytal Structure of Schiff Base Ligand and Dinuclear Cu(Ⅱ) Complex

Abstract:Schiff base ligand C29H29N5O4 and a dinuclear complex C29H27N5O5Cu2 were synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structures of the ligand and complex contain the two molecules possessing the same chemical structure with similar geometry,respectively. The two dinuclear molecules possessing similar structure were linked with intermolecular C-H…O hydrogen-bonds forming the dimer, and the dimer units are extended by the bridging hydrogen-bonds doubly between the ethanol and the dimer units forming one-dimensional chain.
