Abstract:A solid professional knowledge and a strict scientific attitude are the basic guarantee for scientific research.Nowadays,many problems appear in research papers of geotechnical engineering,which affect the paper quality and lead to unreliable results.This phenomenon has great influence.It not only wasted research resources but also led up to a false,impetuous research culture.The author analyzed widespread problems from the aspects of theoretical research,experimental research and numerical analysis,and verified them by examples,which provided full understanding about these problems to students and supervisors.Furthermore,supervisors need to be stricter in instructions to improve the quality of the graduate papers.

Abstract:Specialized project design (SPD) is a compulsory course for most of the engineering students in China. A SPD course requires teamwork of students. It is therefore an important issue about how to group students in a more reasonable form to increase students’ interest in the course and improve their performance. However, at present, it remains a challenge to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of group teaching and optimize group teaching through state-of-the-art methods such as artificial intelligence. In this study, we propose a qualitative analysis method to study the group teaching of students through teacher’s subjective evaluation of different aspects of students’ abilities. In particular, the proposed method is a background-based grouping method which takes into account the students’ scores attained in prerequisite courses of a SPD course and realized by a genetic algorithm. Results of our experiment demonstrate that, compared with the conventional random grouping method, the proposed method improves the students’ average scores in all eight SPD topics by 2.5 in the grade 2016 and 1.875 in grade 2017, respectively (the total score is 100). Therefore, our findings strongly support that grouping students based on their strengths (for example, the courses they are good at) can enhance students’ interest in the SPD course and thereby improve students’ SPD performance.

Abstract:Both production practice and graduation design/ thesis are two important parts of practice in undergraduate teaching and training.Taking the specialty of electronic information science and technology in Central South University as an example,the paper proposes a new training pattern of innovative ability combined with production practice and graduation design/ thesis.That is to find practical problems in production by lots of technical lectures,perceptual cognition of new equipments and working in a workshop for a certain time.Moreover,it solves some practical problems in production with graduation design/ thesis by constructing innovative bases for subject contests,service for scientific researches,and limited opening,etc.Then a new method for graduation design/ thesis integrated with engineering practice is formed.

Abstract:Based on the comprehensive analysis of the reasons for the problems in the topic selection of the graduation project for the architecture major , such as the degree of difficulty which does not fully meet the teaching goals, singleness, lack of truthfulness, and inconsistency in students’ interest, this article proposes that the topic selection of the graduation project for the architecture major should fully consider factors such as scientificity, diversity, authenticity and adaptability; the topic selection should be moderate in size and difficulty, and scientific topic selection suggestions such as “real questions and fake answers” and flexible topic selection based on students’ specific circumstances are advocated, so as to achieve the goal of improving the quality of architectural graduation project in ordinary colleges and universities.

Abstract:Recently decades,a multitude of projects have been conducted in which some projects are famous in the world.In the engineering practice,many new problems,valuable results and experiences are presented and summed up.In the geotechnical engineering,the postgraduate students in universities are increasing every year,numerous conferences or symposiums are held and the papers published in journals more and more.In some students and teachers in university and some engineers in engineering practice,there are problems and difficulties in scientific paper writing,which would interfere with exchange and style of study in geotechnical engineering.In this paper,based on experience of the author and collection of material,positive and negative examples are summed up and analyzed;some deviations in scientific paper writing are pointed out;some basic requirement,step and format in scientific paper writing are presented.The writing methods of title page,abstract,main body notes and references of the paper are introduced respectively.Some mistakes in paper writing and choosing topic are pointed out.This paper is valuable for the researchers and engineers.

Abstract:Abstract In the face of globalization and the rapid evolution of information technology, higher education, particularly in computer science, encounters both challenges and opportunities. This paper investigates strategies for fostering innovation and digital competency among university computer science students. Through an analysis of teaching methodologies across various institutions, student development, and industry collaborations, we propose a comprehensive educational framework. We evaluate and refine our student innovation ability assessment system by employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, including the entropy weight method and gray correlation analysis. By updating curriculum content, prioritizing hands-on learning, and enhancing industry partnerships, we demonstrate a marked improvement in students’ programming and practical skills—showing 20% and 25% increases, respectively. Our findings advocate for a holistic revamp of teaching approaches, course material, and university-enterprise collaborations, aligning computer science education with the demands of the digital age.
