Abstract:Objective To evaluate the the status and equity of resource allocation for Community Health services in F city of Jiangsu Province, so as to provide policy basis in the optimization of resource allocation for community health services with the integration of urban and rural.Methods By description analysis, Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient were adopted to analyze the reasonableness and the demographic and geographic equity of resource allocation for Community Health services in F city of Jiangsu Province in 2006.Results There were more managers and ground crew in Community health agencies of F City.The number of nurses, medical technicians and senior doctors needed to be enhanced.The Gini coefficient of medical worker number, doctor number, nurse number, government devoting outlay, organization number, community organization number, business space, the amount of equipment valued over 10 thousand and bed number based on the local population distribution were 0.35, 0.32, 0.49, 0.10, 0.23, 0.23, 0.45, 0.57 and 0.43, respectively.In the aspect of geographic distribution, the Gini coefficients were 0.51, 0.44, 0.65, 0.23, 0.23, 0.16, 0.60, 0.72 and 0.59, respectively.Conclusion The resource allocation of Community Health services in F city is not quite reasonable, and the demographic and geographic equity needs to be improved.The government needs to strengthen policy guidance further on the resource allocation of Community Health services.
