Study on Genotoxicity of Three Chlorfenapyr Formulations

Abstract:[ Objective] To study the genotoxicity of three chlorfenapyr formulations,common formulation(CF),nano formulation(NF),nano functional formulation(NFF). [ Methods] Laboratory mice were exposed to these formulations of insecticide through i.p.injection with different dosage at 4.84 mg/kg,9.68 mg/kg and 19.36 mg/kg. Necropsy was carried at 24 h, DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes was measured by the single-cell gel electrophoresis( SCGE,comet assay). CASP software was used for analyzing the comet pictures including head DNA percent,tail DNA percent,tail length,tail moment and Olive tail moment. [ Results] Significant differences were detected among three groups versus the control group(P 0.01), dose-response relationship also was revealed.Differences among NF and NFF groups versus CF group at same dose level were significant also.But,there is no difference between NF and NFF groups. [ Conclusion] Chlorfenapyr could induce genotoxicity, and the potency of genotoxicity of NF and NFF is less than that of CF.
