Abstract:Since its successful inauguration in Beijing, August, 2012, the IEEE international Conference on Communications (ICCC) has been globally recognized as one of the important annual international conferences held by the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) and China Institute of Communications (CIC). IEEE/CIC ICCC'14, the third ICCC held in Shanghai, China, 13–15 October, 2014, continued to expand its influence and had attracted distinguished scholars, key researchers, young investigators and ambitious students from dozens of countries and regions. The technical program of ICCC 2014 features 4 world-class plenary keynote speeches, 8 technical symposia, 5 tutorials, 4 industrial and academic panels and 1 workshop, covering from decades-long hot topics such as MIMO, interference coordination, heterogeneous networks and etc., to recent eye-catchers such as big data and social networks. The conference not only provided a forum and seminar for active researchers from every directions of this academia, but also attracted delegates from the main players in the industry.

Abstract:The 26 th CIE Conference was hold in July 2007 in Beijing.The activities of CIE division 4(Lighting and Signalling for Transport)were introduced in this paper,based on which some suggestion for development of lighting and signaling for transport in China was drawn,with consideration of the international developing trend in this area shown in the conference,and of the current situation of road lighting in China.

Abstract:This paper has mainly introduced the composition and realization method of 3D temperature field visualization system for green internet data center(IDC).Based on the calculated results of 3D temperature field by FLUENT,a 3D temperature field visualization system for IDC has been developed based on Microsoft Visual C++ platform and OpenGL graphics library,which can be used as an assistant analysis tool for energy conservation in IDC.

Abstract:The principles and operation plans of research-oriented teaching in the course of computer aided optical design are presented, especially the mode of research in practice course. This program includes contract definition phase, project organization and execution, post project evaluation and discussion. Modes of academic organization are used in the practice course of computer aided optical design. In this course the students complete their design projects in research teams by autonomous group approach and cooperative exploration. In this research process they experience the interpersonal relationship in modern society, the importance of cooperation in team, the functions of each individual, the relationships between team members, the competition and cooperation in one academic group and with other groups, and know themselves objectively. In the design practice the knowledge of many academic fields is applied including applied optics, computer programming, engineering software and etc. The characteristic of interdisciplinary is very useful for academic research and makes the students be ready for innovation by integrating the knowledge of interdisciplinary field. As shown by the practice that this teaching mode has taken very important part in bringing up the abilities of engineering, cooperation, digesting the knowledge at a high level and problem analyzing and solving.

Abstract:This article introduces the latest color rendering index CRI 2012 with the purpose of replacing the current index CRI proposed by CIE in 1964.In this article, the background, calculation method and main conclusions of CRI 2012 will be presented .Some examples of different types of light sources are used to illustrate the influence of CRI 2012 in color rendering evaluation .

VINCI 2010 provides an international forum for researchers and industrial practitioners to discuss the state of the art in visual communication theories, designs, and applications. It brings together researchers and practitioners from many areas, including information visualization, human-computer interaction, CSCW, etc. The call for papers attracted 37 papers from more than 8 countries and regions. The program committee accepted 18 papers after a thorough review process. These papers cover a wide range of topics, including visual analytics, scientific visualization, document and knowledge visualization, parallel coordinates and graph, new concept and framework, etc.

Abstract:According to timeline,this paper uses tools of information visualization to analyze the research papers of Archival Science in CSSCI,and panoramically reveals the research focuses,knowledge sources,and cooperation of institutions in recent 10 years.The results show that the research focuses includes Electronic Records,Archival Science,Archives Law,safety,etc.;the knowledge sources come from the books/papers of the theory of Archival Science,Electronic Records,records protection,history of archive,Archives Law;tightness of the cooperation between institutions is high,and the cooperation has characteristic of locality oriented.

Abstract:Two closely related series of efforts have been organized in the past three years, towards a promotion of Sino-foreigninterchange on interdisciplinary areas of intelligence science, information science, and intelligent data engineering, and also in memory of thirty year anniversary of the Zhongguancun Golden Triangle ISIS Forum founded and propelled by the late senior academicians Prof. T. Chang of Tsinghua University and his collaborator, Prof. M. T. Cheng of Peking University, see the second paragraph of Ref. [1]. One is a serial annual workshops on Intelligence Science and Intelligent Data Engineering (IScIDE) as a collective venue for introducing world frontier researchers to China and for introducing researchers from Chinese major universities and research institutions to international communities. Already, IScIDE2010 and IScIDE2011 were held on June 3–5, 2010 in Harbin and on October 23–25, 2011 in Xi’an, respectively. In addition to having keynote speakers, oral and posters presentations as typically in standard international conferences, one salient feature of the workshops is a single track of oral sessions, which consists of not only strictly selected oral presentations and poster-spotlights but also particularly arranged invited talks by core researchers from Chinese top universities and by their corresponding foreign researchers. For IScIDE2010 and IScIDE2011, there have been in total such invited presentations with 18 from mainland and 15 outside mainland. Another series of efforts were originally scheduled to publish three special issues on Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China. The first one is named Emerging themes on information theory and Bayesian approach (Vol. 5, No. 3, 2010, shortly V5N3) which consists of nine invited papers from international well-known research pioneers and Chinese senior scientists. The other two special issues come from speakers of IScIDE2010, namely, Machine learning and intelligence science: Sino-foreign-interchange workshop IScIDE2010 (A) (Vol. 6, No. 1, 2011, shortly V6N1) and IScIDE2010 (B) (Vol. 6, No. 2, 2011, shortly V6N2). V6N1 consists of 14 invited papers, roughly with a half from top universities in mainland China and the other half from universities outside of mainland China. V6N2 consists of 19 papers, with a majority coming from major universities in China and the first authors of all these papers are Ph.D candidates, which provides a typical window for international communities to observe the researches by Ph.D candidates in China. After publication of the above three special issues, there were feedbacks that the coverage of V6N1 missed some representative professors and some top universities in mainland China, and a supplementary issue is expected. Thus, we schedule this special issue as a continuation of V6N1, which is named IScIDE (C) since the invited authors mostly come from the invited speakers of IScIDE2010 and IScIDE2011. Keeping the V6N1 style, it is scheduled as the first issue of a year (Vol. 7, No. 1, 2012, shortly V7N1) and the first author of each paper is invited. Originally, authors of 18 papers have accepted invitation. However, from initialization to publication, there had been less than a half year for a schedule of review, revision, and production. Unfortunately, five papers (though three in manuscript revision already) could not reach the editorial office before the final deadline of production. We are sorry about such a rigid time schedule and express our thanks to the efforts made by these authors. Abstract:Based on visualization software, we analyzed the evolution of Scientometrics from time and spatial distribution, important au-thors, international cooperation, and the change of conference topics and hot spots in perspective of International Conference and got sever-al relevant conclusions:the overall number of conference papers was in a growth trend and the European area represented by Spain, the Netherlands, England, Germany is the core research area of the field;professor Ronald Rousseau published the most papers, and the pa-pers of professor Wolfgang Glanzel were cited most frequently as well as Liang Liming, Liu Zeyuan and Liu Yuxian were outstanding Chi-nese scholars in the meeting;2 International Scientific Cooperation Groups in this field were found;citation analysis, bibliometric analy-sis, bibliometric indicators, Science Citation Index and Impact Factor had been the most active research topics of ISSI Proceedings.

Abstract:Over the past decade, computing power has increased, new sensing technologies have been developed, and our understanding of how we interact with the earth has evolved, leading to new opportunities and priorities in geophysical research. These changes have been more rapid in some areas than others, and new topics have emerged as well. It is challenging for geophysicists, including junior staff and undergraduates starting their geophysics journeys, to stay abreast of scientific and industrial trends. Thus, the Early Career Subcommittee of the SEG Research Committee (RC) thought it imperative to survey members of the RC in 2022. To that end, a survey was conducted, and responses were collected from 43 RC members.

Leading international experts from over the world will present their results in peer-reviewed research spanning a wide range of research areas including, but not limited to sensor-based human-computer interaction, graphics and human-computer interface, high-dynamic range imaging, high-definition imaging, 3D imaging, image processing for graphics, high-dynamic range and high-definition video, 3D video, 3D audio, mixed reality, augmented reality, virtual reality, and graphics and multimedia. Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library, and indexed by EI.

Abstract:CSIE 2011 is an international scientific Congress for distinguished scholars engaged in scientific, engineering and technological research, dedicated to build a platform for exploring and discussing the future of Computer Science and Information Engineering with existing and potential application scenarios. The congress has been held twice, in Los Angeles, USA for the first and in Changchun, China for the second time, each of which attracted a large number of researchers from all over the world. The congress turns out to develop a spirit of cooperation that leads to new friendship for addressing a wide variety of ongoing problems in this vibrant area of technology and fostering more collaboration over the world. The congress, CSIE 2011, received 2483 full paper and abstract submissions from 27 countries and regions over the world. Through a rigorous peer review process, all submissions were refereed based on their quality of content, level of innovation, significance, originality and legibility. 688 papers have been accepted for the international congress proceedings ultimately.
