A New Approach of Electronic Countermeasure--Plasma Stealth Technology

Abstract:Stealth technology has very important effect in modern war. In order to gain the initiative in the future war, many countries are thinking much of the study and develop on aircraft stealth technology. The plasma is a kind of novel stealth technology, is a new approach of radar stealth , and is the newest development of radar stealth technology. In the paper, the basic theories about plasma stealth are described. The relations between reflection, absorption attenuation of electromagnetic waves in the plasma and the plasma collision frequency as well as the electromagnetic frequencies are studied by theory analysis and numerical simulation. Moreover we discuss the plasma stealth implementation. The result shows that using the plasma for radar wave stealth is a feasible method.
