Abstract:The rapid development of functional magnetic resonance imaging allows pharmacologists to indirectly map neuronal activations imposed by drugs through the cerebral blood oxygenation level change and assess the effects of drugs in brain regions and network.Currently,human neuropharmacological magnetic resonance imaging researches mainly focus on agonists and antagonists of monoaminergic and cholinergic neurotransmissions.This article introduces some basic notions and experiment designs on pharmacological magnetic resonance imaging,and reviews a lot of latest researches in this field.
