Abstract:Objective To research the method and the clinical effect for the posterior cruciate ligament(PCL) reconstruction using the dual-beam musculus quadriceps femoris tendons with bone block mosaic fixation under arthroscopy. Methods For sixteen patients of PCL injuries, the quadriceps femoris tendon with autologous bone block of whirbone as the transplant donor was harvested, sutured and braided to dual-beam as the shape of Y,reconstructed the twin tunnel in the thighbone under arthroscopy, fixed the tendon to the proximal tibial with the bone block mosaic fixation and to distal femoral by pressing the nail tightly. The curative effect was evaluated by Lachman′s test, posterior drawer test(PDT),and Lysholm score. Results All patients had been visited about thirteen to twenty eight months after operations.Compared to(57.2±7.6) before operations in average,Lysholm scores were(85.2±5.4) one year after operations and were(93.8±5.2) after two years. Both Lachman′s test and PDT were negative. After operations,in sixteen cases articular genu unsteadiness vanished. They had recovered the stability in the anterio-posterior direction and the range of extension and flexion, and had no complications of surgery. Conclusions PCL reconstruction in this way is consistent with anatomy reconstruction of biomechanics, fixes the proximal tibial tightly, solves the problems that canal major tunnel is liable to enlarge and affix unsteadiness, and gets the good short-period effect.
